Interesting. Im going to look into it. Though I dont plan on tracking the car, I enjoy spirited driving and it gets HOT in Vegas. The cooling issues seem to be a common theme, so I want to stem it before I have issues with it.I have no real world evidence to support these claims, but the manufacturer's testing shows:
"...reduce peak coolant temps by 17°F, and peak oil temps by 7°F."
In conjunction with the turbo and downpipe blanket, I did notice a significant reduction in radiant heat under the hood. If anything, the WOT plate is much thicker than stock so offers some protection from road hazards.
