Similar to OTS tunes vs custom; there is always room for improvement if you choose to seek it out.
This tool would hopefully provide those with less technical knowledge the ability to make revisions with confidence and not require an engineering/physics degree.
The recommendations are driven by a few levers: maximum and minimum threshold values, deterministic averages, and cumulative moving averages based on imported datalogs.
I think your opinion may be short-sighted. This is currently being leveraged to further develop revisions tailored towards...
Alright people, BIG updates! I've been patient and let the last revision settle in for a few months. The comfort settings were plush but so much so that I lost steering feel and introduced unsafe levels of rebound. At highway speeds, the car was too floaty for my liking which sent me back to the...
I dig the funkiness of the turn down tips; I always liked them on 70rs offerings on earlier Honda's.
Controversial Opinion: non-valved exhausts are a miss. I agree with @UWU-mancer, most companies have taken the #1 approach to just get something on the market. They don't care about retaining...
I’ve been dealing with them for 2 months now to get an issue corrected as a result of a mistake on their side. I continue to receive excuse after excuse with no real resolution. Better yet, they tried to gaslight me recently saying they have their hands tied because I had no choice but to issue...
There are no constraints that limit your ability to make the parameters the same for all drive modes; you have full creative liberty.
That being said, you cannot adjust the steering resistance or throttle sensitivity with the DSC sport controller. Those settings are hard coded to the drive mode...
Wait until the Kuro is installed then revisit your question.
I have a feeling you’ll be looking for something stickier. You nearly have the perfect 2 tire solution for year round enjoyment.
(I run DWS06+ in winter, Conti ECS02 in summer and Kuhmo v730 [for now] on track with your standard bolt...
The DE5 is 5x120 bolt pattern. You would need adapters to run a different pattern (not recommended).
Not RF06RRs but RF03RR in 18x9.5 et 38 on Eibach Sportlines.
I found that the OOTB file that comes with the module to be insufficient for my needs. It required a lot of fine tuning but I haven’t updated the comfort file since my last revision in March.
I shared all my revisions here which you can scroll back to and grab a file as your starting point.
You should be able to flash a new tune over the existing even if the prior tune is locked. Worst case, you flash back to stock then apply the new tune.
Who unlocked the ECU has no bearing on your ability to flash specific tunes.
That’s fair and apologies, I guess I misunderstood your intent.
I also added killmat in the rear hatch and under the rears seats. It made a noticeable difference but not enough for me to prioritize doing the rest of the car.
I am still perplexed why this isn’t standard on the FL5, at the very least. I’m hoping there might be some HRC offering so I don’t have to hack up an oil pan. I wonder what the FL5/DE5 race cars use for oil temp measurements…
