Track night in America, novice group. Great cost effective events.
Pca, bmwcca, and others are all great groups, but TNIA is the only one I actively steer people away from. I've seen serious accidents happen from them putting people out there with zero experience or instruction, and even worse, bumping people with zero experience into intermediate or advanced because of their vehicle. They've been banned from a few tracks around me.

You're right that they're cheap, but there's a reason for that. 😔

Check out

https://www.motorsportreg.com/

This is a good place to start your research.

As a car enthusiast, getting out on track is one of the coolest things ever!!

Ity was a bit intimidating at first, but once you get there you'll realize most novice groups are just driving a little faster than on the street. All the instructors I've worked with where super helpful. They're just car people like us!

If you have track pads and brake fluid, you are ready to go!! Oh, get a helmet too. One specifically for motorsports, rated Snell2020 or newer.

That's all you need to give it a shot.

That’s unfortunate and I would also steer a beginner away from this. I‘ve taken part in several up here in New England and they’ve been well run without incident.

Some regions are better than others I've seen.

I guess the one benefit of TNIA is that I outpaced a viper acr in a near stock vw gti in the advanced group. Sure makes you feel like a hero 😂

because its one with the traction control button
Interesting! Like they're one whole piece, or it has its own backing and button mount for the blank too?

I like this better than routing through the trim. You could even get a little rubber sleeve if you wanted to "finish off the edge". Good work.

thanks! I’m going to look for a rubber grommet to make it look cleaner.

It comes out as one button, there is a cover for the blank but if I drill it 1. I dont think its wide enough (come on COBB can we do USB-C) and 2, I might damage the traction control button.

I got a Climaguard car cover to cover my car because the rain (in NYC) has been getting really crazy lately and there have been more and more floods.
Acura Integra What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️ 20250731_160518

How well does the cooling plate work?
I have no real world evidence to support these claims, but the manufacturer's testing shows:

"...reduce peak coolant temps by 17°F, and peak oil temps by 7°F."

In conjunction with the turbo and downpipe blanket, I did notice a significant reduction in radiant heat under the hood. If anything, the WOT plate is much thicker than stock so offers some protection from road hazards.

Interesting. Im going to look into it. Though I dont plan on tracking the car, I enjoy spirited driving and it gets HOT in Vegas. The cooling issues seem to be a common theme, so I want to stem it before I have issues with it.
