As a side project, I've started working on a new belly pan that has additional naca ducts for getting some air into targeted areas as well as getting hot air out.

I decided to make it out of carbon since aluminum and plastic both have their own issues. For the naca ducts, I'm going to mold them up with a 3d printed mold. Should be fun!

One full size duct mold printed! Now I just have to sand, polish, ceramic coat, and wax prior to carbon layup.

V1 is a lot thicker and more aggressive around the side intake grills. This one is very tame.

Kind of looks like the EOS front lip with a winglet.

Yeah, eos is very similar but sticks out way further. Even with the side wingets this one looks more subtle

Installed my SRP pedal covers today. These are really well built and toleranced. Great product. I chose the "block" design with the satin finish.

To me this isn't just a cosmetic mod, but a much-needed functional one. The factory pedal covers kind of suck when your shoes are wet or icy. I've actually had my foot slip off the clutch pedal more than once when I got into my car during a storm. The texture on these SRP pedals is going to do a much better job in those conditions, IMO.

The supplied hardware is "good" but not optimal. The self-tapping no 8 screws are the right length for the dead pedal but I think 3/4" instead of 1/2" would be more appropriate for the gas pedal for a more secure purchase. I ordered some better hardware from McMaster-Carr that I'll swap in later - went with square-drive SS self-tappers in both 1/2" and 3/4" so that the dead pedal and gas pedals will match. I prefer the look over a phillips head, particularly since the clutch and brake pedals come with hex drive heads.

Also, I had some nicer torx drive machine screws that I used instead of the supplied hex drive heads for the clutch and brake. Less chance of rounding out and they look a little nicer IMO.

Back on topic, today I fixed my botched touch-up job on the front calipers. Paint used is Testors enamel gloss red, practically perfect match.

I'm genuinely not sure but we'll definitely find out how well it will hold up over time.
