Type S w/ black emblems on red vinyl. Don't really like. Thoughts?

Feel it looks better stock. Was going for a slightly more aggressive look but I think it may cheapen the look. How ya'll feel?

Looks good on the front I think but just ok on the rear. Have you tried just red background and keeping the A mark chrome? I think it’s tough because the red is so bright on the dark, deep black paint

The red on the front was just too much for me. So much so i didn't even want to drive with it like that. Just changed it to all black on the front. Now i'm 50/50 on current setup vs stock. Chrome over red below for SeanIsElsewhere Agreed red is too bright against the black paint on the front.

Chrome over red for reference

I think on the rear it looks better with chrome + red vs black + red. I thought about doing something similar to relive the DC2 era but these badge are just too large. Doesn't have the same effect :nono:

I almost want to like the red on black rear, but agree that SOMETHING is off, whether it's the shade of red. The front doesn't look good IMO, definitely too large an emblem.

Are you taking the bumper off each time to play with the looks or is it just stickers/vinyl etc. Also whereabout in NJ are you, south or north?

I don’t think it looks bad, I was considering it actually. In your pictures it’s a brighter red. I think if you found vinyl that’s dark cherry wine red it would look quite amazing; that would match the black Type S badges as those are a very dark red.

Red background is always a homage to the Integra Type R days

Red in back reminds me of 1960's Batmobile. I think Godo is right, maybe it's the shade of red that's too bright or something.

Red in front reminds me of Rudolph the Reindeer as another mentioned. Black on black is nice.

The red is too in-your-face. It makes the car look less premium.

I personally would go all black or back to OEM chrome if you want the contrast.

Azkyrie6 - I think you're right. It's the shade of red, it's not dark enough. Do you think this darker shade of red would look better?

I like this shade. Darker if you wish but dark cherry wine like this would complement your black exterior and not try to stand out in the spotlight. That’s what you’d likely want, subtle styling

Just went a shade darker and it looks significantly better IMO. I can live with this setup for at least a few days and see how I feel.

I think it is the bright shade of red that’s throwing it off. Maybe try to match the dark red interior color??
thanks for this post though. I have a APB and my black PRL intercooler is arriving this week. I had a thought the PRL logo would look good in red on the black intercooler on a blue car but this thread has got me thinking not so such.
