Yeah, Gohan, I was just under there and that OEM plate is thinner than the lid on takeout lasagna. 
I just installed this little guy, Cobb RMM.
Look how sad the old one is.

Anyway, before the install we drove out to an empty road and I started to roll out in 1st gear and then WOT, then a hard shift into second and staying at WOT for a bit. 1st gear had ~6 very loud, violent hops, and second had one big hop. There was slight torque steer when it found traction.
After install the next run only had 3 very minor hops in 1st and no hops in second. No noticeable torque steer when it had traction.
Both tests had tire spin, the big difference was just the frequency and intensity of the hops.
If there’s any increase in NVH it’s very hard to notice, maybe a l decibel or two at low RPMs? Definitely worth the trade off for the front wheels to feel so much more solid and planted.
