Did anyone have trouble fitting the duct that runs to the back?

If I fully seat the duct into the splitter, it knocks the duct connecting to the floor vent out of place. My duct also doesn't seem to be long enough as the hole for the clip doesn't like up with the metal bracket.

I got my kit off AliExpress so wondering if I got a crappy tube/duct. I assumed that they were all made in the same factory...
any pictures?

and link?

I just ordered the TuxMat in the "no rear usb/vents" setup. Did you purchase the version *with* the usb/vents? Wondering how different they are. I may return the "without" and get the "with usb" incase I decide to tackle this install.

For Type-S owners out there with this mod or looking to do this mod, I'm building my own wire harness to connect between the factory harness in the center console and the A-Spec harness for the USB-C ports.

My current plan is to use the connector from the front USB-C port for the ground, continuous power, and accessory power connections to the rear USB-C ports, the illumination on signal and illumination PWM duty signal from the parking brake/brake hold connection, and using the original connector for the center console light basically passing through directly to the keyless module connection.

Once I'm done I'll report back on how it went.

Honestly, the difference is pretty minor, will just "bunch" a little. I already had the "no rear USB" version before I even considered doing this mod and didn't feel the need to have to replace it with the "with USB" version.

Also, I was able to buy just the splitter for $70 from mikstoreph by reaching out to them on facebook. All of the other parts for the rear vents w/ USB I obtained through Honda/Acura, either JDM Yamato or US based dealership's online.

I completed my wiring harness, installed everything and it's working. The illumination for the USB-C module increases and decreases with the ambient light setting.

If anyone is interested, I can try and put together a listing of parts and a diagram. I'm probably going to make one more that's shorter since I made the first one without taking any measurements made the wires extra long to ensure I had plenty to make the connections.

Ok, I'm trying to track down details on the connector that attaches to the wire harness for the rear USB ports. I scavenged one from a used dash harness I bought off of e-bay and just haven't had any luck searching suppliers online yet. Sent some pics to one supplier, so hopefully they can figure it out for me.

I had an A-spec harness laying around in a drawer (since it didn't work with the Type S). Looked at the numbers on the connector and did a quick google search and found this. Looks identical to my connector.

The connector I'm talking about is the one that plugs into the A-Spec center harness and is part of the dash wiring harness. I've attach some pics of the same connector used elsewhere on the dash harness as well as a picture of the A-Spec center console harness connector.

I guess another option would be to not require the A-Spec center console harness, which is what I'm guessing you had in mind. I know the connectors needed to to that, but if you wanted the plastic zip-tie anchor clips that'd be something that would need to be figured out.

Ah, makes sense. It's always the not so obvious one, right? If you don't find anything, another option is to find a matching pair of connectors with the same pitch and pin style as these, and just de-pin the car's connector and swap it to the new one. It's not a simple plug and play solution, but it's a step closer for those of us who aren't afraid to take things apart to that level.

I didn't spend too much time on mine. In an ideal world it would have been plug and play, but I was still happy that I could use the harness Mikstore provided and plug it into the accessory connector at the corner of the fusebox and call it a day.
