I swapped out the Amazon lug nuts for the Gorilla ones I mentioned earlier in the post. They are much better quality. Here's some pictures, Gorilla 41148BC.
I'm curious, did any of you all buy a 5th wheel as a spare (in case of damage, etc)? Apex extended their sale 1 day and I'm wondering if it makes sense to buy a spare while it's 20% off and free shipping.
If I understand their warranty (replacement) options, it's customer pays shipping and you...
Golden era for sure, that's why I'll never get rid of it. Every time selling it has crossed my mind, I'll drive it and afterwards say "Yeah, that's why I still keep it".
Lol I was hoping you were referring to my neighbors minivan but it's not in the pictures. The S2k mainly collects dust these days, less than 500 miles a year.
Got them on the car just in time. It snowed a little the day after I put them on. Started with 33/31 and dropped it to 31/29. So far I'm happy with the setup. It's killed some of the road noise which is a nice bonus.
31/29 just sounds too low. I'll have to do my due diligence to make sure I'm not hung up on a number arbitrarily.
They were mounted and balanced today. They'll go on the car the next day or so. Got them from Tire rack through a dealer. Must be new old stock, 4124 is the date code.
The owners manual says 35psi in front for models with 18 and 19 inch wheels. Granted the stock 18 inch size is for the A spec (235/40/18). Rear is 33psi regardless of size.
How much should the pressure be adjusted going from 265/30/19 > 265/35/18? Or should it be left at 35/33?
This...
I ordered 2 cheap sets on Amazon to hold me over. I need to get them mounted asap. It's getting colder around me.
Thanks for the info about the McGard set, they look nice. I'm certainly going to look into better lug nuts but that will come second at this point.
Those gorilla ones I mentioned are appealing because they're 19mm. I could likely fit the non marring socket in the opening. Others have mentioned that 21/22 sockets won't fit unless it's thin wall (and maybe not even then).
I did a test fit with one wheel. The wheel fits and clears the calipers easily. I'd say it's similar to OEM wheel clearance. The stock center caps almost fit, if you shaved down the clips you could make it work. I just had them sit in place to get an idea. Stock lugs finger tight to keep it from...
I thought I'd have an easier time finding lug nuts and overlooked that part. I'm trying to find ones that will work that could be here in the next few days. Something in a store would be ideal but it doesn't look like there's much to pick from in stores around here.
Wheels arrived. I'll put up pictures later. These lugs should work right?

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate that as well. We do certainly have different purposes for the car at this time.
I'll have to call them back with more questions. It looks like they raised the price of the wheels $6 since yesterday. They were $464 and now they're $470. Maybe raising the...
I called them this afternoon, no dice on the pre-sale discount. I'll have to take my chances on the sale if I don't get them now.
I had DWS06's on my last car and liked them. It was a Mazda sedan so not apples to apples in terms of performance, etc. I know a few other people that run them on...
Apex announced that their Black Friday sale starts November 18, annoying timing for my situation. If I wait for the sale and they go out of stock, I won't be able to wait for them to restock again (which was 100+ days last time) before winter.
Last year it was 15% off and free shipping. That...
I'd like to keep everything as close to stock as possible. Running a 35 on stock tires would throw off the speedometer and odometer, not interested in that.
The overall selection in tires at 265/30/19 is small and "expensive" compared to 265/35/18. I'd love to run the Mugen FR10's for summer...
Thanks for the response. I'm around the PA/NJ area so Winters here are hit or miss. Roads however are another story. I wonder if the 30 sidewall on the stock wheel is enough for winter and the potholes that seem to open up in my area.
I don't want to have to swap summer and all seasons with 1...
Pictures as promised. I think the knob is a little lower then it should be, but that can be adjusted. Overall, I like the fit. It chatters a little bit if you wiggle it but nothing crazy.
The ambient light part numbers look to be the same for the 2026 A Spec as they have been in the past (with Tech or Type S). Maybe someone that has a 2026 can chime in. The description from Acura is so vague.
Changing the drive mode in the Type S changes the cluster colors too but the ambient...
