The car market, both new and used, are slowing down. And I think the concern over inflation/recession and uncertainty due to the election have made people either wait or pull out of the market. I think it will soon be a good buyers market.
Agreed. I know most dealers like to sell locally, but one a few hours away has the exact spec I want and it’s been sitting on their lot for over 2 months. I told them I’d be down there the next day to buy it at MSRP and they won’t sell to out of town we for less than 5k markup, claiming it was due to servicing dollars they wouldn’t see. Which makes no sense to me as it’d be a few years at the earliest before they saw any servicing payments with warranty and complimentary maintenance.

Some of it is just that time of year. Folks recouping from holidays & waiting on taxes. One of my dealers confirmed that’s what they’ve been hearing lately as well as per the usual this time of year.

I just caught the ending part of this thread, all the newer models are $53595 MSRP which I am sure a lot of you heard out there. But when I had picked up my white $52595 car from a Miami area dealer I was informed the 2025 models will be $2500 higher in MSRP from the sales manager as heads up.

I bought it up in another thread as well but the part that stings is that none of the other cars in the Acura lineup have such a large bump in MSRP. Even the MDX Type S only went up $300!

So basically a $3,500 increase this year since it’s already up $1,000?

I read it as him saying he was told of the $2,500 increase before the $1k increase so I’d expect it to be just another $1,500 as $1k of it has already happened since then. But since I already have mine, I guess the higher the prices go, the better?

$3500 would be absolutely ludicrous over such a short period. Even $2500 is over the top. Then again if we're talking for the 2025 year, I guess it tracks.

$1000 for 2024 and another $1500 for 2025. I'm assuming more features are involved for the 2025 but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I've confirmed with my SA this morning that there is a $1000 increase this year with no added features or changes to the car.
