I drove an aspec and noticed that the seat material is not as nice. The Type S has ultrasuede, which I think is like alcantera. The aspec gets microsuede, which to me seems like just felt or something. I didnāt care for that. To be honest Iād probably take the lesser suede to get a sunroof...
For those of you with aftermarket knobs, what are you doing to keep the boot up and flush with the bottom of the knob? My boot collar sags down sometimes and looks sad.
Thanks for any insight here.
This seems like a ton of work. May I alternately suggest getting the base Integra and swapping all of the Type S bits over to it, minus the spoilered hatch?
I donāt say this to be pedantic, but I think itās relevant in the context of the original question. I donāt think thereās any actual leather in this car aside from the steering wheel. If you look at the Acura specs, they use the term leatherette, which is some form of vinyl or synthetic...
And just think, with all the time you saved not starting a floormat thread, you canā¦shit on someone elseās thread taking a couple minutes to try to make an informed decision before spending several hundred dollars!
Iāve had tuxmats for around 16 months now.
I initially had the same issue with some scrunching sound from clutch pedal contacting the mat but that has subsided.
I had, and returned, the tuxmat trunk liner. It is a slick surface and stuff in the hatch slides around on it while i drive...
Same. Never had a white car before and I regret the color choice, but they weren't widely available at the time so I compromised. I actually think there is something aerodynamically unique about this car that sucks road spray up onto it. I don't think other white cars I see look nearly as...
My ālowestā was filling up 11.36 gallons. I go pretty low regularly; Iām annoyed at how small this tank is. My tsx would go 500+ on a tank; this car causes anxiety just trying to hit half of that. I think when indicated range hits 0 you have about 1.25-1.5 gallons left.
I too am annoyed that there is not a low/no cost option for an all season tire like Conti dws06+, as I definitely would have opted for it. I live in the Midwest, don't track my car and those would have been fine. But in buying the car I committed to the expense and hassle of getting dedicated...
I can't fathom how you live in Massachusetts and never went below 44 degrees. Do you mount winters in September and leave them on until May? Or is this a second car and you have something else for cold/bad weather?
I luve in Ohio and fall and spring are all over the place temperature-wise...
This is a great point Iād never thought about. Iām rarely on a 2 lane highway long enough to use CC, but if I am, Iāll swap back to ACC. Thanks for the tip!
This is funny to me. I donāt like adaptive cruise because it slows down right as Iām about to change lanes, lets people in ahead of me and then slows down, etc. I think I happened upon this maybe by accident soon after getting my ITS. My wifeās 2019 rdx is the family road trip vehicle and I...
Can anyone advise on removing the clip from under the console cover? I can remove the 2 plugs, but there is a clip between them holding the wiring harness to the cover that I couldn't immediately figure out where to release, and I didn't want to break the clip, so I stopped, but it'd be a lot...
Installed the raceseng nitro as inspired by @tallboi.
Unfortunately, my collar was not of the ājust pull down hardā variety, so I had to pull off the shifter console, which isnāt a huge deal. I cracked the bottom ring of the collar prying it off but I donāt think it matters. The real fun came...
This is a great looking knob. How does the dimpled plastic feel? Substantial and nice, or cheap at all? Where'd you get it? Sold out on Raceseng site. Did you buy the collar adapter too or is that just the knob up against the trim ring of the shift boot? Thanks for the input.
