I agree for the most part on the Jogon quality. I have the dash trim and door trims (the piece you're waiting on). The door trim isn't as perfect of a fit as the dash trim and will need better 3M tape to stick, and use adhesion promoter. It will also obscure about half of the ambient lighting intensity because it's just a tad too tall, which annoys me. But it's still better than the horrendous material texture that's there from factory.

How do you like the fitment of the steering wheel cover trim?

Sheesh, maybe I’ll forego the door trim, in that case…the ambient lighting in the doors is β€œbarely there” to begin with. I agree that the stock material is terrible…sooooo much boring black plastic.

The steering wheel carbon trim is actually from Carismo, and it’s not an overlay. I previously had the Jogon overlays. The piece that goes around the airbag was a perfect fit, the lower trim (silver part) wasn’t a great fit (still showed parts of the silver), and didn’t like sticking.

Had the middle muffler deleted. I was going to get the Borla exhaust, but thought I’d try this first. Sounds pretty good! It’s louder, including the pops!

Please excuse the dirt. I just washed my car yesterday. I live in Minnesota, so that’s how it is πŸ˜€

My quest to remove as much chrome as I can from the interior continues. Painted the chrome pieces in the steering wheel controls. Super easy to do and I recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind a little bit of detail work.

Installed the Wunderladen oil pan baffle this past week and a ported oil pan. Quite a few steps involved just to remove the pan, much like when working on anything else with this engine. Great peace of mind oiling mods for my 2026 track ambitions.

Looks great! What paint did you use for this? Assuming you just taped off the buttons and painted carefully?

Mechanical failure avoidance is understandable, but has anyone truly locked up an engine on the track due to oil starvation on these cars? Have you noticed a drop in oil pressure on track?

I doubt anyone will ever lock up this engine from not having a baffle, but the high G turn oil pressure drops on track are likely contributing to accelerated wear under high engine load over time, either way there's no negative from adding the baffle. Yes, I am seeing oil pressure drops on track, moreso when I switched to Toyo RRs on track.

Baffled pan is definitely cheap insurance

Thanks!

I used a Testors enamel paint marker in gloss red. I took apart the switch which is really easy to do.

Once you get the switch apart, pop the middle cover of with a flat edged pry tool and a pick tool. That exposes the chrome piece which you then unhook it from the sides to release it, using the pick tool. Paint the top and sides then reinstall.
