I got the infamous check engine light, at the track, in the middle of a 125 mph straight. Code P0087, rev match disabled, (and all the other garbage) Limp Mode!! Didn't realize that Limp mode won't let the car rev past 3000rpm's, so essentially just stayed in third gear limping along at like 40 MPH for a 1/2 mile to get back into the pit. That sucked! Read the code with the JB4, (via bluetooth on my phone) cut the car off, put it in accessory mode, and cleared the code with the JB4, started the car up and it was back to normal. Only had one more session after that. I put it back in Map 0, (stock) and just took it easy and all was well. Made the two hour drive home after that with no issues.

I know what I *SAID* I was going to mod this weekend but I couldn't stand looking at the box any longer. In an attempt to clear up garage space I've opened up the MBRP box and will be installing the contents.

Good question, I’m quite certain it was over half a tank, and I’m pretty sure it was even 3/4 of a tank.

There was one session that I finished with maybe 60% in the tank and I don’t think it was that session. I was pretty careful with that.

Just added some Chasing J's engine bay stuff and the Eibach Pro springs arrived. The flange on the FSB nuts are not as large as the oem nuts if you're running one, just FYI:

Sound clips of the MBRP (unresonated)!

There's a "hiss" in the audio which is just the sound bouncing off my garage walls and doors. Just general ambient sounds. I recorded the video about 3 feet from the rear so everything sounds louder than it actually is.

Notes: This is UNRESONATED.

Findings:
Sound - Is deeper than stock with a nice growl. All modes are like a tick above factory ie, comfort is now sport, sport is now sport+, sport+ is something else entirely, Race(?). Definitely an increase in volume across the board but not obnoxious. Haven't measured the db level yet.
Cold start - Also louder thank stock, not obnoxiously loud but louder for sure. Has a nice grumble to it and even a light pop on warm start. You can hear it at the 1s-2s mark. Neighbors won't mind, I'm sure.
Visuals - Looks great! I might still go with a polished/rolled tips option because I prefer a cleaner/factory look. I've also thought about having the tips coated/painted in a gray/gunmetal. You can adjust the tips (I still need to adjust mine) to your liking.

Impressions:
Comfort mode as we know it no longer exists, sounds like valves are open ALL the time, the biggest change is that burbles are more noticeable (see below on Sport/Sport+). In terms of noise and volume, Comfort is now like Sport, you'll definitely notice and hear burbles (no pops or bangs). If you're looking for stock levels of quiet, this is not it. Even though the exhaust is valved, the valve is only for the center pipe, the side mufflers bypass the valves, hence more volume in all modes. If you're good with throttle modulation you can get the exhaust to be dead silent still, but it's no longer quiet like factory Comfort mode otherwise.
Sport mode is now like Sport+, factory burbles and pops but definitely more volume (louder). No drone on the highway but there's definitely vibration you can feel from the resonance on the floor at about 2500RPM.

Sport+, same as Sport in terms of volume but let me tell you about the noise. There are no burbles here, only POPS and *BANGS*! Super aggressive in terms of intensity though still retaining factory behavior. Videos do it no justice, they are LOUDER than what the video leads you to believe. Those are *BANGS* and *SNAPS* at 58s and all POPS afterwards.

Overall, I don't know how I feel about it just yet because I typically drive in Sport+ throttle mode anyway but having a "silent" comfort mode is nice for when I don't want any attention. Now I'm in the "new" comfort mode most of the time instead because it's loud enough to be enjoyed and the burbles satisfy that part of my lizard brain. Sport mode for when I'm looking for a little more drama. Sport+ only when I'm feeling rowdy and no other cars around. I'm too self-conscious to open it all the way up otherwise. This actually works out for me because I prefer the throttle mapping on Sport and Comfort compared to Sport+. YMMV.

I'll try the resonated version next weekend as I get some more seat time on the current set up. I have I feeling I'll like the resonated version more.

Came across a set of OG Advan GTs in semi-gloss black that I couldn’t pass up. Specs are 19x9.5 +35 paired with 255/35/19s. Compared to the black 19” TE37 Ultras, I’m loving the look of these a tad bit more.

I'm strongly considering Milltek but that's the last part for me to overcome, is vids where it sounds like it might be too aggressive for my liking.

So the MBRP comes with both sections; resonated and non-resonated, right?

There is a set for sale on the Civic forums in +45 that I would have bought had I seen them before I bought my Apex set. I love these wheels, and will quite likely end up buying some at some point. I favor the Hyper Black (i.e., shiny gunmetal) variant but the black looks amazing as well.

Any issues with fitment at all? I think I recall you're on springs; any other concerns with the +35 offset? I think from an availability perspective there are far more wheels available on the open market (i.e., in stock and ready to ship) in these aggressive offsets than more "OEM plus" type fitments. I'm no longer averse to getting springs so I'm wondering how the fitment, ride, steering, etc. is affected with these below +40 offsets. Also I think if I have to go down to a 255 that would be enough for me to pass; I think for any type of motorsport-ey stuff wider is better. Any impressions you have would be helpful.

They look great! More pics would also be appreciated!

Correct, it comes with both sections.

If I'm being honest, factory is best overall but, the same as you, I was on the hunt for more volume. I haven't experienced the system from outside the car yet but so far it's definitely delivered from inside and just on the cusp of my tolerance.

Have you gotten a downpipe yet? I'm running the RV6 and I find the exhaust is louder than stock.

I have yet to hear an aftermarket exhaust in person, but the DP+FP and stock exhaust combo sounds the best on video. It seems some of the valved exhaust options are loud in comfort which completely defeats the purpose to me.

Valvetronic makes some incredible exhausts where the sound is night and day, but I’m not sure they would build an application for these vehicles. I’m debating picking up their muffler kit and having a custom one made.

This is a good point, and TBH I didn't really consider it for too long because I just assumed you'd need a tune as it's upstream from at least one 02 sensor. I'm not interested in a tune at the moment, but possibly down the line.

I'm sure it does sound great though. Anyone already interested in a tune should most definitely consider this route.
