So, I know a few of you here come from owning a 10th gen Civic and are likely aware of the original tuning experience and reliability thread at the CivicX forum. We have nearly 1,500 tuned owners participating.

Here, we only have 30. And while I know far fewer 5th gen Integras are tuned, 30 tuned owners is a staggeringly low number.

If you're tuned, consider being a part of this project. I know there are plenty of owners on the fence regarding tuning and this thread might just help them decide one way or another. But, we need more tuned owners adding their cars and adding updates here.

Waiting on the updated insurance payout (accounting for custom parts coverage), and weeks or months of making dealerships compete against each other for a good deal, then I'll be back in the game. Unsure when I'll mod/tune again. Got burned pretty bad by the wipe out.

Appreciate the update. Interesting the you mention bbg. It seems to me that many owners don't take advantage of that when in all honesty it's one of the best user adjustments there is. I mean it can help with traction issues and lessen wear and tear. What's not to like, right?
I was concerned with using map 3 on a stock clutch. But after reading about bbg im more confident I can use the stock clutch before upgrading, if I need to upgrade at all.

Stock clutch should hold for a while if you avoid applying load in mid and especially higher gears. My '18 SI started slipping after just a couple months on Phearable 1.5 despite avoiding lugging. It's worth preparing for the inevitability. RV6 retrofit is meta.

The RV6 Retrofit is definitely on the list. The car already feels amazing, not having to worry about clutch slippage would make it even better.

This post is an update to an earlier post I made in this thread.

Vehicle: 2023 Integra A-Spec w/technology (manual)

Total tuned time: 2yrs and 7months

Tuned miles driven: 33,000

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: Phearable 1.5R

Fuel used: 93 octane

Additional related mods: none

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Some aggressive driving around town but mostly highway driving. Took it to tail of the dragon once and had the brakes smoking so I’m not always nice on the car.

Tuning experience notes: For the first 15k miles I kept it on map 2 but the last 18k miles I’ve kept it on map 1 just because I do a lot more commuting now. I haven’t had any issues with the tune whatsoever in my 33k miles tuned.

Been reading up on this thread every now and again for over a year at this point waiting to get my A-Spec 6MT - finally got it 2 months ago! - planning to tune it eventually. Phearable 1.5R will be my choice for sure. Just wondering about the drive modes behaviour with that tune - I know KTuner base maps seem to target different boost levels in sport vs. normal and comfort, and IIRC I read somewhere that Phearable's boost targets are the same throughout all modes, only depends on which map you're on (1-3). I'm sure most settings aren't affected (adaptive dampers, steering weight, gauge colour) but does throttle tuning still differ between modes or does it get overridden by the tune?

The throttle tuning is definitely a big difference between the modes, even with the tune installed. Comfort mode is way less responsive than sport mode.

Update to #263:

Vehicle: 2024 Integra Type S

Total tuned time: 13 months

Tuned miles driven: 7,000

Tuning device(s) used: Hondata Flashpro

Tunes used: Phearable DE5 Stage 2, JesterTuned Custom Tune

Fuel used: E60 mix exclusively

Additional related mods: PRL Intercooler and Charge Pipes, Wunderladen RMM, Hardrace Side Engine Mounts, Mishimoto Expansion Tank, Acuity Reverse Flow Hoses, and Wunderladen PCV Oil Catch Can, & Radium CCV Oil Catch Can. JSR race ported Intake Manifold, SoCal Porting ported Throttle Body and Turbo Outlet Pipe. Full-Race HPFP, Hondata CANFlex, Radium 6 micron in-line Fuel Filter and pressure gauge, PTFE AN6 fuel lines, and Hondata 1530cc Injectors. Kuro+ Turbo, PTP Hybrid Turbo Blanket, TSP Downpipe, WOT Cooling Panel, and CSF Radiator. Recently swapped out: Deatchswerks DW430 LPFP with FK8TD LPFP High Flow Basket assembly, Infinity Design Intake and Turbo Inlet Pipe.

Problems/issues: None mechanically whatsoever, just a few interior rattles/buzzes like everyone else has noted on this forum.

Driving style: Mostly conservatively but let her rip from time to time. Tracked recently at Street of Willow/Willowsprings, going to Buttonwillow next month and got several more track days scheduled for the fall. Making use of this platform and mods at the track like they should.

Tuning experience notes: perfect conservative custom tune by JesterTuned. Making right at 500whp on a dynojet with plenty of head room. Been running strictly E60 100% of the time. Swapped LPFP and basket components with the FK8TD basket assembly to avoid any issues with the OE filter degradation from the constant ethanol use.

2025 CVT DE4 w/ Mods:
PRL HVI w/ CAI, Titanium Turbo Inlet, Front Pipe, RMM, N1 Exhaust, Intercooler, Charge Pipes
Mishimoto Oil Catch
RV6 GESi Catted Downpipe
Acuity Reverse Flow Radiator Hoses
Not anticipated: Radiator upgrade

Question -
Conflicted on whether I should go with the Phearable 1.5R or a custom tune... any help deciding there? Or should I find a local dyno tuner?

Also - If you go to order the 1.5R tune, it has you list your engine mods - do they optimize the 1.5R tune for you based on the mods you list?

Found some answers - looks like phearable blog posted this back in 2023:

Starting 3/10/2023 we have started implementing more customized calibrations for each customer's specific modifications.
This allows us to achieve better performance & drivability by taking each modification into account when creating each customer's calibration.

For example, someone may have a completely stock vehicle or one with just an intake. Another vehicle may have several bolt-ons such as intake, intercooler and downpipe and the tune can be customized specifically to take full advantage of those modifications. I.E. a stock intercooler doesn't perform nearly as well as an upgraded intercooler.
With that, think I'll go with the 1.5R & report back once it's ready.

Total tuned time: 2 months

Tuned miles driven: 1,500

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2

Tunes used: Phearable 1.5R

Fuel used: 91 octane w/ 1.5 gal e85

Additional related mods: PRL High Volume Intake, PRL Rear Motor Mount

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Map 3, aggressive most if not all the time

Tuning experience notes: Car should’ve came like this from factory! Less rev hang and the increased power bump is awesome. Intake sounds great. Rear motor mount really helps with better shifting feel and putting the power down.

Annual Update

Vehicle: 2023 Integra A-Spec 6MT

Total tuned time: 14 Months

Tuned miles driven: I honestly haven't been paying attention

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: TSP Stage 1

Fuel used: 91 octane

Additional related mods: TSP catted downpipe, 27Won Intercooler, 27Won front pipe, MBRP exhaust

Problems/issues: None, aside from lack of traction

Driving style: No chill, unless the family is riding along.

Tuning experience notes: I don't keep the tuner on so I'm usually tooling around on map 1. Map 2 is still enough if I want to turn things up a bit. Still on the stock clutch and intake.

I finally fixed my shit enough to flash a tune, so here's my initial post.

Vehicle: 2023 Integra A-Spec 6MT

Total tuned time: 1 week

Tuned miles driven: 200 km

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: TSP Stage 1

Fuel used: 91 octane

Additional related mods: TSP catted downpipe, 27Won front pipe, MBRP exhaust

Problems/issues: None (fingers tightly crossed)

Driving style: No chill, unless the family is riding along.

Tuning experience notes: Map 2 seems to give enough chooch for everyday driving. The next mod on the list is a 27Won intercooler, and that might be it. I don't want any of what's going on up there ⬆

no slippage on map 3? seems like clutch durability seems very hit or miss for a lot of people.
