Does anyone else have a problem with the rear view camera in the rain? I've never had a car where the rain makes the camera useless as much as the ITS.

Ceramic coating the lens will also help with water dispersion and make this less of an issue.

It seems odd the engineers didn't catch this.

This kid must be making bank. That's a few pennies worth of filament.

I second this, when I was ceramic coating the car I also coated the lens. Haven’t had this issue since

I have another similar issue with the camera. It’s started getting into the 30s in the morning. I’ve been opening my garage door and letting the car warm up for 5 minutes before I take my son to school.

When I throw it into reverse, the backup camera is extremely…foggy. As if the exhaust is condensing on it / heating it up.

Goes away after 30 seconds or so of moving the car around, but you can’t see anything as you backup. (Once the exhaust gasses aren’t flowing directly upwards towards the camera)

….Not a huge deal, but annoying nonetheless.

I had noticed this could get pretty bad last week.

Now the question is - do I just RainX it, go out and measure the stupid thing and model that piece and print it myself or be lazy and spend $14.. 😄
