Wow! 700? That's brutally cheap for the whole thing!

What does the mikstore kit do that the oem type r parts don't?
Does the exact same thing, the concern lies with the rear vent panel as it needs a ton of trimming and doesn't fit as well as OEM.

Okay, I knew the Type R center Console eliminated the need to trim the bottom of the storage, but this introduced and issue of the metal hinge from the Type S not fitting to the Type R center console. It sound like you fix this issue by ordering the metal bracket that fits the Type R. Does the Acura console lid fit the Honda medal hardware bracket?
Being that I bought an entire Type R Console, I ended up using the Type R Alcantara arm rest, I never bothered trying to see if the Type S leather one would fit.

Installed the Extreme Online store factory style extended spoiler. I liked the OEM Carbon Fiber spoiler style, however, I don't want any exterior carbon fiber, I was looking for a gloss black alternative. Was able to get this for $150 shipped, and was one of the very few I could find that is bolted to the car. Spoiler matched perfectly to the factory holes and gave everything needed to install. Still looks very factory; I'm very happen with the results.

Did you get this from a supplier or consumer? If the former... Are you able to share your source? $150 is a great deal.

I ended up buying a full center console from a Type R, it isn't as deep as the Type S and allows for the duct to be routed properly. There is a lot involved as I found out as I progressed with the project.

Mikstore kit: $260
Type R center Console, Ebay: $210
Parts for the OEM Factory rear vents and USB: $220
Bracket and hardware for Type R Box: $20
Grand total was a little over $700 to complete this.

I probably went about it the wrong way and there was probably a little bit better and cheaper way to get this accomplished. However, coming over the pond makes a lot of the cost about 1/3 in shipping.

For Reference, here's the Type S Box:

Do you have the part number for the Type R bracket?

If anyone decides to purchase, the very middle hole will/should be covered with something as it is no longer used. The plastic clip should be removed as well...or at least I removed it.

Do you have the part number for the Type R bracket?
83419-T24-T00 (bracket for box)
90140-TR0-A01 x 2 (bolts for bracket)

What an interesting thread. Lots of discovery for quality-of-life mods going on here it seems like.

Also, congrats to @Victorofhavoc !!!

Now with a third kiddo (born on the 8th) the Integra will become a large dust collector, unless it's just two kids and I going somewhere.

Ha, thank you! The wife and I are outnumbered now, and already feeling it! Yesterday I drove over my son's bike in the Integra... Because a 16" bike 3ft in front of the front end of this car is literally invisible and the sensors did not pick up a thing!! For any parents reading this... Let that sink in for a second 😰.

I feel awful about it... He loved his bike and he was getting quite fast on our evening rides. So now I'm shopping for a new bike for him since he was at the top end of the woom 3 at 6yo and it's probably time to get him into a woom explore 4. Bikes are nutty expensive now, but so are car tires 🤣.

...and I'm also shopping for a new type s duct inlet thingy... If it even comes as a separate piece I can buy.

Ouch. glad it wasn't anything worse than that though.

The rear cameras are a godsend but when I back into my garage, I still stop every few feet or so to do a deliberate and thorough scan for my 2 yr old to make sure he hasn't come out the door and ran out behind my car.

Finally completed the rear vent with factory USB-C charging ports. Nothing like Genuine Parts!

So much better.

I planned on doing the rear vents, and I still may, but now it's a third (soon to be fourth) car, so it may not get a lot of attention anymore šŸ˜’.

Looks much better with the larger spoiler. I've seen a couple cars now with the original lip spoiler and the back end of the car just looks off. Looking good!

This is the one thing I am concerned about. All the videos I see show that the rear vent cover does not fit to the center console flush or cleanly. They have to trim the holder tabs, and it is not a snug fit. I would rather spend a little more to make it right. Did you source all your parts from Honda, and by doing so, not have the rear vent cover fitting issues?

I bought the Mikstore kit prior to finding out about the factory parts being available, so I bought the kit and the factory parts for the vents and charger together. JDMYamato offers all the parts you need to make the entire kit work, minus the charger, and it’s probably cheaper than what I spent and fits perfect. The problem going full factory is the wiring harness for the charger; the harness, from what my research showed, doesn’t have a way to actually plug into the car. You would have to figure out a way to get power to the charger. There is a couple ways that you can get it accomplished, but that’s the only thing that isn’t plug and play.

Okay, thanks! I decided to get the Mikstore kit first too. This way, I will have an easy, non-destructive way to connect the USB-C ports, and it comes with many of the needed parts. Then I will source the other parts from Honda or JDM Yamato.
If I understand it correctly, I will need the following additional parts:
1) 83433-T43-J31ZA (console box) $41.33 - Shorter box to prevent cutting and trimming
2) 83470-T43-J31 (mat) $ 7.14 - Mat to fit new console box
3) 83419-T24-T00 (bracket for box) $ 11.76 - Mounting bracket to hold new console box
4) 90140-TR0-A01 x 2 (bolts for bracket) $ 4.38 - Bolts to hold the mounting bracket
5) 83451-T24-T01ZA (rear housing) $24.18 - Perfect fit, so no trimming is needed
6) 83405-T43-J31ZA (Armrest assy) $206.00 - Hinge and lid that fit
The armrest assembly will hurt the most. I might see what I can do to make it work, or maybe buy a new hinge if that will work.
