Well I would say its as snug as OEM, considering the OEM mounting base is used on these mirrors, kinda weird that it would be rattling so bad?!

Does the exact same thing, the concern lies with the rear vent panel as it needs a ton of trimming and doesn't fit as well as OEM. Being that I bought an entire Type R Console, I ended up using the Type R Alcantara arm rest, I never bothered trying to see if the Type S leather one would fit.
