Keyless entry not responding..

Almost had a heart attack earlier. Took my daughter to her dentist appointment then after we were done I walk towards the car and proceed to pull the door handle..nothing!! I even press unlock button still nothing! I press every button and notice no lights. I did notice a small button below the "panic" and I dont know if I press that button to make everything work again? Kinda weird. I looked in the manual and doesnt say what that button does.

Interesting - the same thing has happened to me, where I have the keyless remote in my pocket and yet nothing happens when I pull the driver door. The passenger door will unlock per usual, and after an engine cycle, the driver door works again. This has happened twice to me.

For you, do you happen to have AirPods or something similar that transmits a signal in the same pocket as your keys?

sometimes it takes like a second or 2 after i grab the handle for mine to unlock but ive never had it just outright fail.

So lets just say it happens again. I know theres an actual key inside the key fob but where would I use it to open the door or is it just for the trunk?

Happened to me the other day. I walked back in the house. Closed the door and got as far from the car as possible. The. Walked right back into the garage and it worked

The key hole is inside the door handle. (If I remember correctly, it's on the bottom?)

Hasn't happened to me yet on the Integra but I had something similar happen to me frequently in an older car, and always in the same location. Not sure whether it was some kind of interference in that parking lot specifically, but I thought it was odd.

And yes, the key hole can be accessed by pulling the door handle and looking up from the bottom where the touch sensor is.

Been happening to me regularly and it’s maddening because I have my keys in one of three bags I take to and from work, so I gotta do all sorts of gymnastics to get the key out to push the d@mn button. I was hoping it was a key battery issue (even though it’s a ‘26) but this thread is telling me it’s a bigger issue. First oil change tomorrow, I plan to raise hell. Keyless entry my….

I was parked close to those fake cell towers, well I wouldn't say close but it was on the other side of the parking lot.

If your fob is touching another RFID device like a cell phone or work ID card, it can block the signal.

Honda seems to use an RFID technology that is more susceptible to interference than other manufacturers. I don't know exactly why, but it is.

See if it keeps happening in that parking lot and is fine elsewhere. If so, then there's likely your answer.

Exactly this - if the key is in the same pocket as my cell, it won't work on Acura products. No issues with our Lexus, Porsche or various rental cars while on vacation.

I have to add that it's possible to grab the handle too quickly and pull it before the sensor notices the back of your fingers to unlock. I am now in the habit of wrapping my fingers around the back surface of the handle and wait for the click before pulling.

I have a RFID wallet, if the fob is behind it in my pocket it will act strange.
