Cleaning windshield interior

The interior of my windshield is getting a little foggy-looking (especially in certain lighting conditions). Does anyone know of a good way to clean it? I’ve sampled a few areas and haven’t found anything that works.

Do you vape? If so you’re leaving behind a thin film. Vape with the windows open

for cleaning the glass. I like two products. Gyeon glass cleaner is awesome but can’t find it locally. Always have to order. Then there’s meguires (spelling?) streakless glass cleaner.

With the curvature of the glass, the technique and microfiber media is more important than the product. I can name 10-15 glass cleaners that will work very well, but with poor technique or microfiber cloths it won't matter. A windshield cleaner tool and glass specific microfiber cloths are the way.

My wife does that around the house. Apparently the newspaper ink is this soy based stuff. It + the water and vinegar makes for streak free glass

I did that in the 90s but it was newspaper n windex

This is the stuff that body shops and dealerships use. No ammonia and you get a streak free shine. Here are a few other tips:

Work in the shade. In the sun the window cleaner will dry too quickly as you wipe making things streak more. Make sure your windshield is at least cool before starting

Open all windows or have all doors open so moisture doesn’t build up from you perspiring inside as your wiping

Make sure you wipe until there’s no more cleaning solution at all

Have a separate “dry towel” for your windows for after your initial wipe down with the window cleaner

I’ve used this method for years and has worked fairly well

That stuff works ok, if the residue gets heavy it doesnt get it all...an I use slightly soapy water for tint as other stiff tends to degrade the tint or the glue for the tint

I have had this happen in a few cars. Usually a good cleaner takes care of it with a good microfiber towel.

Update!

Gyeon glass cleaner works extremely well! Also purchased quick detailer and some microfiber towels from them. Everything is quality!

I asked my sales rep about filmy windows inside and out. He took me in the repair section during lunch and pulled out about 10 of the disposable blue shop towels(paper) and said this is what they use. I had been using a clean microfiber towel. These are better and I’m using spraway cleaner.
