I get that but a hair extra negative camber goes down well on the Supra. I assume the same on the z?

but yeah. Options are good at least. Honestly I’d do (and probably regret) an nd3 before a z

I personally liked the 370 too. That second throttle body went far 😂 and the manual felt decent and was only a couple dollars away from feeling like a great manual.

I actually understand their choice of motor. There must’ve been tons of pressure to go with a boosted power plant. Would’ve been great to see an updated 3.7.
Honestly, I think they should have dropped their 5.6 into it. At least the nismo version.

Actually, the supra is limited to around -3 up front and typically with camber plates. That reduces compliance overall and you need coils to get more room.

The z just takes upper control arms and then you can adjust to your hearts content. Because of the design it also takes the camber further because it doesn't increase towards positive like mcstrut.

Both platforms setup with identical prep and near equal power to weight, I think it would be a fair and close fight. I suspect the z would need to be driven "with a bit of anger" and the the supra would be more "scalpel like". Driver style would probably make the difference on preference.

The 5.6?! No way, I’m one of the few weirdos that like what the vq sounds like after some headers and exhaust work

Oh I like the vq screaming to 8200rpm. I wanted to cam mine, get a new pump, and crank while rebuilding the front end and get it to scream to 9k. Still might, we'll see. If I can source a new z chassis for cheap, I definitely would.

I just think the v8 makes more sense for 400hp in that car. Maybe that's just me...

I remember watching one of the old Jim wolf videos of their 350 on the dyno. Man that sounded great

Took the words right out of my mouth.

An S15 and an F87CS are on my short list of cars to own.

My opinion about the Z is that in vacuum it's fantastic but amongst its peers it's a little lackluster. There's probably something I'm missing, much the same way that enthusiasts scoff at the Type S, but my brother owns a last gen 370Z and as much as I think it's a great car, I feel it's a bit too generic for my liking.
That’s a great way take on it. You’re absolutely right, it’s a fantastic car, but in 2026, that same money is better spent elsewhere, imo.

Not a fan. The RS5 has me interested but we'll see what the end of the year looks like to even see one in person first.

I really like the rs5’s exterior. The design speaks to me. The price hurts tho. Went s5 instead. Might take a year or two but looking fwd to tuning the ecu and the tcu. Few bolt ons. Throatier exhaust

THE RS5. GTFOH.

No seriously, this post is ban worthy.

That car actually invokes negative emotions for me now. It does NOT belong in this conversation.

It's not a sports car. I'm going to go out on a limb now and say it's in a class of poser cars for people with more money than sense that like to keep cars for less than 6 months before getting bored and moving on. I can say that because that's EXACTLY what happened with me... and I'd almost forgive someone for liking the previous gen RS5 because it looked great and felt like Audi at least made an effort to make it fun to drive.

But trying to bring a $125k wet fart of a hybrid luxo barge in this conversation of sub-$70k sports cars should have everyone's pitchforks out.
