The never refer to the Type S, it's by engine. They'll say the 1.5l or the 2.0l model which the ITS is obviously the 2.0l.
That or like the tires or other equipment, they'll refer to the models by the specific equipment details, example 265/30ZR19 tires.
However since a lot of the options and...
Great post.
You never know when you'll need to go 130+, everyone should just set their tires to 41psi just in case [/sarc]
Personally I run the rears at 34 and fronts at 40 since highway driving is the bulk of my daily drive.
Happy to report the heavy NVH was not present upon the second cold start. It probably settled into place in the first drive and it's fine now. However, there is definitely more noise at idle, nothing deal breaking though.
Once you get driving, I honestly can't tell a difference
Finally got around to installing mine today, Wunderladen too. I have to admit the first cold start was jarring. There was a booming resonance that felt like the same as noise cancelling earphones. I'll see again tomorrow morning when I head out to work.
NVH after warmed and on road is so far...
Thanks. I covered more of the car topics since this is a car forum but definitely something at the absolute top of our list.
The move would allow my wife to stay home for at least a few years to raise our youngest thanks to over inflated real estate prices here versus there, so home schooling...
I religiously drive with Waze and I was contemplating a Uniden to cover myself. Good to know there are "windows of opportunity".
If it's only a few days at a time I might just get some permanent all seasons on my Civic and keep the ITS toasty in the garage days it's below 40F.
Thanks. The "it depends" is what AI and Reddit are horrible at which is why I came to post here.
In actually we were looking around the outskirts of Concord to be more specific, we want our privacy and tranquility so we would be outside the 485 loop (Mecklenburg) guaranteed. The exact location...
Per the title, I have a potential opportunity to move my family to Charlotte, NC later this year. Being a car forum I hope you guys can give some perspective related to cars.
1) Right now I pay about $2,400/yr (all in) to register and insure my 24 ITS, a 26 Civic Hybrid and a 13 Civic Si. I...
Basically in the same environment, two cars driving the same roads, the one with a wider tire might have a 50% increase in risk for a 5% width increase, again I don't know the math, these are made up numbers but that's my point #2.
To your "something else is going on", agreed, that falls under...
Agreed, compound is 0% in the equation but if you've ever taken a probability course, you'd know making sense has nothing to do with it.
Want proof and an awesome bar bet, take a room of 50 people. Bet someone that two people share the same birthday. Someone who doesn't know probability would...
Well you see, the Acura engineers worked with the Michelin engineers to make a specialized rubber compound with embedded magnetic particles so that the tires not only grip the road via the rubber, but pull themselves to the road with the magnetic force. As a by product they pick up nails like...
Season started April 2nd for me. The first drive I came back grinning ear to ear.
This weekend I hope to rotate the tires, do a brake flush and install the Wunderladen RMM.
More ambitiously, I want to get a review out, so many opinions on the "missing features" of the car
Because their system is not built that way. Quite simply in MyGarage the only thing that updates is how much you have left to pay.
Your monthly payment will always remain per the original amount.
Easy example: You owe $10k to Acura, you pay $500/mth and have 20 months left..... If you pre-pay...
Ding ding ding, we have a winner.
Also, the benefit of #2 is grossly misunderstood, especially if it's in the first quarter of the loan.
Had I not paid off my loan early, Acura would have taken $16k CAD total interest from me. Instead, they got less than $5k and the car was mine in two and a...
I thought you said oil, not oil filters, so piss off 😂
Oil filters it's Honda OEM but the A01 type(in a box, from Japan) not the shrink wrapped crap A02.
Sure!
0W-20 for the warranty period and then switch to 5W-30 at the first oil change outside of it.
Excludes any special cases like living in Death Valley or the Northern Territories or track duty.
Amsoil if you have money to burn, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum if you want nearly the best with a...
This was my philosophy. It's why I'd still by it again. It's stupid easy to read which I love and I've noticed that the OEM levels line up perfectly with the crosshatches of the Wunderladen. 1st crosshatch from the bottom and 2nd from the top.
