Was showing my 4 year old grand son the Air Force’s a10. Explained how it’s the most American plane in the arsenal. Bitch is just a gun with wings. He said ā€œwow that’s fucking coolā€ and then had to plea with the mf to stop swearing. Went in the type s. Got some ice cream with em. Moose tracks continues to be undefeated

came back home. Bday party. Dunno how old I am. I stopped counting after I was legally able to buy liquor. Plus I ain’t no bitch. Counting is suspiciously metric….. and centimeters never made it to the moon. 😤

Almost got the car prepped for the weekend (brake flush, brake pads, wheel swap, Fl5 ads) and then I dropped a socket by the battery. It made a lot of noise and took almost an hour to retrieve 🤬🤬🤬

Pinched between the subframe and fender at the bottom.
Oh man. I think you might need to change your user name to "Victorofgreatluck"

I joke but, at the same time, not really. I don't know about you but I'm a firm believer in the law of attraction and for the fact I've read through many misfortunes you've shared here around your ITS, it may be worth a shot.

When driving, we look where we want to go, so it's not so crazy to think that in life if we focus in on the crap, that's where we end up.

Nice! How long did it take? I just requested mine Friday.

This coming Saturday I have a wunderladen RMM, rv6 rear sway, rear brake pads and the rs-r coilovers to install. Will post pics after! Super curious how the coilovers will feel compared to my current prokits.

Honestly? It was quick dude. Maybe a week? No more than 9 days. I was pretty impressed. I emailed them so I could at least pay for postage. But the email got kicked back. So I gave up on trying to square up. I’ve deluded myself instead, I now believe they owe me

Driving home on the freeway a FL5 got stuck in traffic next to me and heard the pops and bangs and asked if I had a tune.
Was funny, just being stock and all.

Crazy to me how disregarded these cars are. Even amongst other "enthusiasts" we're relatively unknown. I'm willing to bet good money that 90% of ENTHUSIASTS don't know the car exists or think it's a TLX.

Honestly, it's just how I like it.

Just listen to the FL5 guys, you'd feel like the redheaded stepchild quick fast and in a hurry

Honda people find me all the time because of the de5 and ask me about my car history... Then I watch their faces contort into funny shapes as I explain my years of German cars and other Japanese makes. They inevitably bring up "reliability" and then really go squirrely eyed when I explain why I don't trust hondas as much as German cars when it comes to reliability and data 🤣🤣.

Life is too short to relegate yourself to only one brand or car... Try everything out there!

For real

fucking embarrassing that this engine. After a turbo swap. Needs to bake in a little delayed fake lag. Meanwhile the ea888, the last fucking iron block 4 banger, can take 500 crank tq and spool quick. No problems.

I think you took this idea from my comment on the Civic forums, and I believe you misinterpreted it.

Nobody is baking in fake lag with a turbo swap. The bigger turbos push the power curve out further mechanically.

People ran into problems early with these motors because they asked for too much boost on the tiny stock turbo, which leads to (relatively) high torque at low rpm, and that puts an excessive load on the rods.

If you are tuning the stock turbo, with its tiny housing / compressor wheel, etc. and its resulting peaky torque curve, it makes sense to be mindful of rpm when choosing your torque request. Swapping to a bigger turbo alleviates this issue.

Not trying different things is 😭

...Honda has also sold all of two (three if you count the NC1) interesting platforms here in the last ~ two decades (and from the looks of it, they won't have another) 🤣

No not at all. I dont go there anymore.
I see the advantage of having better mid and better top end. At the cost of a little lag. The k20c1 can’t take too much tq in the lower rpm’s without the rods un-rodding themselves

think stage 2 turbo(or even the stock unit). The one that’s slightly larger than the stock one. Add fuel upgrades. Delete the cat or go high flow cat. E85 tune. That kind of tq down low is something the stock rods can’t take. Sadly

would’ve been nice to have either forged rods. Or even stronger rods that aren’t forged but can take a greater amount of tq and (modded)abuse.

I stand by what I said. Respectfully of course cuz I’m not trying to be a bitch. The ea888 gen 3 and 4 are truly the modern day k engine. Hell, the 5th gen is literally going to have a variable geometry turbo. I have a vgt on my 2025 s5. It’s fucking outstanding. If you’re near Denver we can meet at a parking lot and U can drive the s5 so U can feel it. It is freaking amazing

never tuned a k20c1 but have seen pics of the tables. It seems like it’s tq based (fucking finally) instead of boost based. Reminds me of how the Germans do it
