So like 8-9 more pounds vs stock? Pretty respectable imo.

I only have two issues with it

1) I’m not familiar with microtube intercoolers. The claims so far sound insane! Not saying it’s bs. Just saying it’s hard for me to believe so I’m taking a wait and see till more data piles up

2) it’s fucking ugly as fuck. My god that thing will never catch the clap. Absolutely can not fuck that at all. I really would get it in black so I could hide my shame. My god that shits ugly.

I agree with the claims being a bit much, there is no way an intercooler does that much with just pressure drop and the use of epoxy for a daily driver doesn’t seem very safe. I am all for innovation and hope there are great ground breaking discoveries but the claims give me a lot of pause. Mishimoto just finished up some testing and came back with 9/10 hp and consistently lower temps and that’s believable. I hope I’m wrong but I have been around different car communities for over 20 years and there is always someone who pops up and starts claiming things that are too good to be true and we find out later that they were.

Agree but every time you fly any where you are flying on epoxy like or not...

this is true but last time I checked there isn’t like a 117 point inspection done on my car every morning and afternoon before I drive nor has the process how the epoxy was used and sourced from approved by government agencies and regulations. I get it epoxy can be a safe adhesive but how many heat and cool cycles have the intercoolers been through to test the longevity of the bonds etc.

If you're building a track car and looking for an additional 2-3 mph on the back straight, or to shave 2 seconds off your PB, the WOT intercooler becomes intriguing. But I don't see the value proposition of that intercooler on a lightly modified street car. Even if the thermal capacity is as claimed, doubtful this intercooler will demonstrably outperform the PRL, HKS, PWR, et al. intercoolers for this use case/application.

Yeah, the claims are what throw a major red flag for me, especially when the comparison I saw was against the pwr intercooler. It’s probably a great intercooler and for specialized use may eke out some more but I highly doubt that as well. Healthy skepticism and 3rd party reviews should always be welcomed in the car community bc if something goes wrong you got an expensive paperweight.

Even then. Resin end tanks eventually separate. They don’t last as long as metal end tanks and will eventually leak. Impressive that a hunk of plastic, glue and some pressure even lasts that long to begin with tho

I think, I mean lemme speak for everyone. We all want to believe. It’s just a lot and way too crazy that this bad boy became the absolute best option available. Just like that. As a result we are just worried about the claims and we just wanna see more data. Especially from early adopters who dropped their own coin on it. That’s all man

no one here can talk shit about it. No one owns/runs it. Yet. Just how you’d need evidence to trash talk it, U need evidence to support particular claims. U know?

As a side project, I've started working on a new belly pan that has additional naca ducts for getting some air into targeted areas as well as getting hot air out.

I decided to make it out of carbon since aluminum and plastic both have their own issues. For the naca ducts, I'm going to mold them up with a 3d printed mold. Should be fun!
