Outcome: significant narrowing of the range of drone, now centered at 3k. Drone sound level reduced by about 50% but not eliminated. I may replace the vibrant 5" diameter bottle resonator with a second 1142 after thanksgiving, which should further reduce low frequencies while bringing back some higher frequencies, which is a sound profile I prefer.

Heading in the right direction!
Second 1142 ordered after consulting Google Gemini, which was surprisingly helpful and technical!

Plan is to install it next week, after thanksgiving weekend.

What is the biggest difference you saw between the two?
The Wunderladen is generally stiffer than the PRL - leading to an even more connected feeling to the car. The engine flex that used to occur on the 1-2 shift, while mitigated with PRL, is nearly non existent now. Aggressive throttle applications seem to be more responsive.

The added NVH was very marginal and occurs mostly during cold starts. Once I'm moving I don't really notice it at all.

I have the Wanderladen sitting on my work bench ready to install. I recall Humza at Unity mentioned that it was smoother (not his exact words, I'm paraphrasing) than the PRL, which is what prompted me to order the Wanderladen version. Don you're findings are the opposite?

I got mine based on his feedback as well. I'd say when driving it's smoother but on a cold start it's a touch noisier. Trying to be as transparent as possible as I have no skin in the game for either brand.

For sure! I'm the same so I take more consideration with real world enthusiast input. It's harder with these types of mods because I'm sure there's some variance and everyone's individual tolerances are different. I recall some owners found the PRL to be intolerable but I thought it was just fine (and I consider myself super sensitive to NVH).

You're gonna love it when it's installed. Are you driving it year round?

Yes but I'm trying my hardest to avoid the snow and salt so I'm cutting back on office days lol.

I actually have the PRL on now and have been running it for roughly a year. I find it to be tolerable. Is it that noticeably different with Wanderladen?

I found the performance difference greater going from PRL --> Wunderladen than from OEM --> PRL. You won't find it any rougher than what you got on there now if PRL was fine for you (it was fine for me as well).

Looking to pick up a set of Apex wheels this weekend - are people just swapping over the OEM valve stem/TPMS sensor? I was going to get the color matched stems but they are listed as only compatible with the HUF sensors, and there are no Honda/Acura fitment sensors listed.

The huf valves don't fit the oem sensor. The oem sensor uses a press fit style, rather than screw in style sensor.

You could use any other 433mhz sensor that takes screw in if you'd like to use the color matched huf valves. The huf ones are really solid.
