Also, here are the trim pieces you remove to get the carpet out. It's not much. Besides that, it's just the bottom of the back seat which is one bolt lol (and the center console which I am glossing over, but that's easy too)

I did this a few weeks ago just in time for my 1st track day with the car. Ordered an extra seat harness and heating element to keep my OE seat's harness in tact. Added a Bride seat heater for the Stradia III and was able to wire it into the factory plugs and use the factory switch for the seat heater. Heater works much better than the OE one. Swapped out the seat belt buckle for one out of an Odyssey as the Integra buckle sat a little high for my liking. Had to adjust how I get in and out of the car, but driving the car aggressively on track was a joy being planted in the seat and able to just focus on driving. Seat is definitely sized to the average Japanese person and fits me perfectly.
looking awesome! I went the same route with getting an extra seat wiring harness; hoping you were also able to plug everything up to not get SRS light.

Could you share how you wired it into the factory plugs to use the dash heater buttons? My Recaro has a rocker button on the seat to control heating, would have been cool to use dash heater buttons.

Any plans to swap out passenger seat?

I don't have a picture at the moment of the harness. The seat harness now come to think of it is only used for the seat position sensor and heater if I recall correctly. The factory heater element is a small white 3 wire plug and a separate purchase from the seat harness. Positive, negative, and thermistor. The car wiring diagrams shows the car looks for the thermistor via relays so didn't wanna risk trying to run the heater without it. It's what senses temperature and turns down your seat heater after leaving it on.

The extra seat heater I bought, I cut the positive & negative wires and removed the thermistor from the factory heater. Soldered the positive/negative to the new seat heater and placed the thermistor under the seat cushion.

For the airbag I bought a male SRS plug from Aliexpress and soldered in a Bride 2.2ohm resistor to it and plugged it in to the SRS harness. Worked perfectly and don't have any error lights associated to SRS and system functions as it should.

My OE purchase list was seat harness, seat heater, seat position sensor, and the SRS plug. No plans for the passenger seat, my wife would definitely prefer the OE seat over a Bride seat but maybe if I can find a FL5 passenger seat someday that could be an option. I'm not sure how people are getting around the weight sensor on the passenger seat with aftermarket seats and seems like that's the biggest headache on that side.

Carbon engine cover from the fl5 but of course worked on our cars

Now you just need to upgrade that intake to match the rest of the carbon.

Is that the gloss black? Are you happy with the finish?
yep, it’s gloss black. I wanted OEM+…and I knew if I went carbon fiber it’d be an expensive rabbit hole.

Finish seems fine. I inspected it in my dining room right after removing it from the box and packaging. It fits nice and tight with no gaps, all holes lined up…I’d say Artwork knocked it outta the park.

Great choice, gloss black fits with the rear diffuser much better than carbon fiber imo

Q300 got delivered today, got straight to buffing off the burnt tips. Not quite my taste lol. Figured it'd be easier to do it before install than to do it after

Regardless of what is or isn't someone's style, I love seeing customization of any sort!

Good work! How did you buff it out? Metal polish, steel wool?

I'll probably make a post about this once I figure everything out, but I finally got my hands on some FL5 seats. I do have an airbag light.

There is one plug on each side that doesn't line up, so I'm going to look into making adapters.
  • For the driver’s side, it’s the seat position sensor, heater, and seat power on the DE5 and just the seat position on the FL5
  • For the passenger’s side, it’s the seat position sensor, heater, and weight sensor on the DE5 and the seat position and weight sensor on the FL5
