Here's a fun one; the Type S is a solid all-rounder, but what enthusiast car do you think would compliment the Type S well?

for me, I think it would be a DCT F87 M2 Comp - which is hilarious because I just sold that car, right before buying my DE5, and it was an instant regret.

I loved the M2's short and playful wheelbase, and the S58 is truly a masterpiece in itself.

I miss the car so much i've decided to buy the CS version this time as a keeper, and I think it will compliment the Type S perfectly.

I'm a practical men: I say an old civic. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done with minimal maintenance costs.

it is my perfect 2 car solution. As you can tell, I don’t really care for 0-60 times or the highest horsepower numbers.

If I had the garage space, I'd probably have a GT350 in the stable again.

If you're a fan of high revving Honda engines with torque curves biased towards high RPM, the GT350 is basically that.

It's unhinged and awesome.

I almost pulled the trigger twice on a GT350! I took extended test drives each time and loved the sound, handling and just the event of the drive. I paused on each purchase and went to something else. I even drove a GT500 to see if I would like that more (I didn't, reminded me of the hellcats)

Someday I'll own a white gen 2 GT350!

You'll have to turn the volume WAY up on this, but for anyone on the fence about it, give this a listen:

I wanted to capture the sound of that car as purely as I could and I didn't want the audio to clip or be normalized/compressed, so that's why you need to turn it way up.

The sound that car makes is spine-tingling.

Funny you mentioned the F87 because a few members have moved from that car to the Type S, myself included. I keep going back to it as a potential second car though. However the Type S and M2CS are close enough in everyday performance that there's a strong overlap unless you're pushing limits regularly (which I don't).

I've been strongly considering a GT4 or Emira instead as a second car to try and differentiate from the M2CS/C and ITS more. Not so hard edged that you can't drive it frequently but also not so soft that it's tame for everyday drives.

Nice LC! I agree with you. I'm more of a driving dynamics and handling guy. My wife's Macan EV 4S could easily dust any of my cars in a drag race lol.

The fact that I am also an s2k owner speaks I don't care about straight line speed at all! I really only care about good aftermarket suspension, brakes, and tires.

Beautiful S bro. My wife’s taycan was the fastest car in the stable for awhile. Porsches hit different for sure. Not sure if I’ll ever go back to one though….

I really miss the M2, but having had an F80 M3, G80 M3 more recently just made me want a change. I also started to feel the interior (with only wireless aapl carplay and no AA) was feeling a little dated after spending all those years in an F80 back in 2016, and the F87 having essentially the same interior.

I took one last drive before selling it and something inside me said to keep it, but I sold it anyways knowing that the CS version in Misano blue exists and i'll likely buy that if I go back to the platform.

I also have a 981 GT4 which after also test driving the Emira (v6 version) I prefer the GT4 even though it is older. There is something wonderfully balanced about the GT4, and with LWB seats, and a good track alignment, it is one of the most engaging cars i've ever owned.
