I just want a better filtering filter. That’s all. The cheapest dry filter will absolutely filter better than the best oiled filter it seems. Removing my prl intake to clean the fine dust from the area post “filter” sucks

I get why it’s an oiled filter. For the size that was available U can’t go dry, dry flows like shit hence why it has to be over sized some. For the sake of flow. And that’s not an option on the fl5 and de5 unless you totally think outside of the box.

However, I think the difference in filtration is small enough that I’m willing to chance it, particularly given my positive experiences with oiled filters in a bunch of other engines.

A1 actually means replace oil only and rotate tires according to the manual (Page 628). The table below states I would need a B1 to get the oil and oil filter replaced.

Good news! They do have a matte carbon option. Not as pretty compared to Infinity and Eventuri but if you're ok with the tame look, you can have your cake and eat it too!

Def feel the extra power, but theres an annoying hesitation between 3-4k RPM. I sent Cobb the data log file to see if they can decode the issue. If it persists I’ll go back to stage 1

Drew from COBB was able to send me a new file specifically for PRL intake. No more hesitation.

installed a cooling plate I got last November. Also changed engine oil and MTF.

Is the new cooling plate a lot thicker? The fact that Honda went to all that trouble to add so many ribs to the stock plate means they were really focused on its rigidity…

I guess: worst case the new plate sounds a little bit like a thunderstorm and dents easier.

yea its 4x thicker than OEM, the main benefit is pushing trapped hot air out faster.
