Finished installing the Mugen Damper fl5 kit this morning and tested it out—it bolted in with zero issues. Yesterday morning, before the install, I drove a section of bumpy, windy roads with my DSC set to Sport and Sport+ back to back. One particular section features a high-speed, sweeping S-curve that is bumpy and off-camber; previously, the car would skip a bit and easily become unsettled.

After finishing the installation this morning, I took it back out on those same roads. My first impression was right out of the driveway—going over the hurricane lip of my garage was notably less harsh. Moving on to these sections, the car felt significantly more planted. Instead of skipping around, it just adheres to the road a lot better. I also let the wife hammer a bumpy section of road near the house and she even said the same thing.

Any way all in all I would do this again it's probably not for everyone but I feel for someone who will push this car it's a worth while mod...

No it's fairly straight forward other than the rear bumper. I used loctite on every nut and bolt as if any of them get loose this mod will not work... I will say reinstalling the rear bumper is a bit nerve racking other than that its quick and easy... BTW I am not the 1st person to do this mod as another DE5 owner pioneered it 1st...

What tires did you go with? Did you replace the OEM tires?

Got 6550 miles. Rear pads are at about 5mm. To be fair, I do drive like an asshole

also swapped out the trans fluid for amsoil synchromesh

truly feels much smoother. The occasional crunch from third to second is gone too. Trans took about 2.25-2.3 quarts before the little screw in the front finally leaked some. We did let it drain about 15-20 minutes tho

I went with continental sport contact. A bit cheaper and similar performance. Mainly the ride is so much better now.
