whatever that is. Otherwise they will attempt to provision but never will

it’s what happened when I got my second set of wheels and tires. Occasionally one or two random sensors would finally read but then drop off after a few miles. It’s like they all took turns randomly coming on and offline

after this whole experience with pwr. I can’t imagine myself ever wanting to buy anything from them again or even recommending them to anyone without letting them know what they’ll be in for.

I'm going to see what my iat looks like on track this coming summer. Over mid fall events in the 70s my iat was not concerning. 95F might be a different story...

Took almost 2 months to get it. Website didn’t mention that. At all. After a week I emailed asking for tracking. Never got a reply so 2-3 days later I called them. Was told it’ll be sent in mid November

no specific date. Just mid November. I emailed early November. Never got a reply. So I called on the 5th I think. Surely they’d have a more solid date. Nope. Mid November. A week later I call, cuz emailing gets nowhere and I’m told November 17.

so it’s the 17th. I ask for shipping information. None available cuz it’s not ready at all but was told should ship by that Friday.

Good news and bad news,

Your intercooler is done, but they painted the logo on it by accident..... SO either we can send this one to you with the logo and refund the no logo fee, or we have to make you a new one.

I was absolutely not going to wait another almost 2 months. Crazy how they get away with success they don’t deserve. I can’t fuck with company’s like this. Obviously this is more my fault than pwr’s. I should’ve asked around before ordering

a ton of the local type r guys in the group chat told me they had similar experiences with them too and if I would’ve mentioned I was gonna buy from them they would’ve warned me. So totally my fault.

Swapped out my brakes for a RZCrew front BBK comprised of AP 9660 ENP calipers and Braking Point 378x36 rotors and Paragon rear 350mm BBk. Endless ME20 front and ME22 rear pads for track use and MX72 pads for daily/street driving.

I haven't, but I would be, too. (And it looks like supplemental oil cooling is key to controlling both temperatures.)

I'd reach out to PointByPatrol or Siwelnosaj on the FL5 forums re: a good solution for reading oil temps and for general advice re: oil cooling. Specific to your plans, the former just installed a 4Piston baffle -- and apparently it's made a big improvement in pressure drop in corners (which was amplified by adding coolers) -- so probably a good resource for you.

I got the wunderladen one that's waiting for me to make time to install it. I saw there's a dual oil cooler kit, but adding two separate restriction points doesn't seem brilliant.

I just need to get legit data so I can see what's going on. I just really don't want to have to mount up some tacky gauge in the interior

Yeah, I agree. The lack of a real oil temp sensor is seriously stingy and indefensible, imo. Re: the baffle, the sad reality is very few relatively affordable cars come with one from the factory. I was surprised to find that the Supra actually has one (!), but I believe you need to spring for at least a GTS to get one in a Cayman, and as far as I know, the sub-100k M and RS cars don't offer one, either. These automakers know that a small fraction of their buyers seriously track their cars, and it's an opportunity to save pennies, I guess.

I suppose we should be thankful we actually get a dipstick

I went through this same dilemma recently and wondering how hot my oil was getting on track at the end of each 20 min session. I also didn't want a tacky gauge mounted in the car and found a pretty clean solution in my opinion.

I used a Blitz sandwich plate, and a Pivot digital monitor (it's JDM so display is in Celsius), and the corresponding Pivot oil temp sensor. I have the gauge warning set to 127°c about 260°f and it's gotten cooler on the track since installing it, but in October with low 70°f ambient I was getting up to almost 270°f at the end of the 20 min session. Coolant temps were at 223°f which is cooler than what I was seeing in the summer and what made me want to monitor oil temps to see what I was hitting on track. I've gotten into tracking this past year and slowly going down that path. Have a WOT oil cooler on order, Wunderladen oil pan baffle, and Airtec auxiliary radiator to get me ready for the track next summer.

With modern oils, 260F is honestly pretty good. Many oils can tolerate working temps up to 325F now without much shear. Cars today like thinner and hotter oil anyway, and I've seen several race engine builders running 30 weight and pushing target 295F.

Have you had it pull timing on you due to heat? Factory tune did fine for me in high heat. Cobb tune pulled a bit of timing, but it was also over 100F out that day. Custom tune has been rock solid so far and no timing pull at all. Temps I could log all stayed in check and the burn definitely smells richer, which is probably what's helping. The oil pressure drops are concerning though.

My region recently posted our schedule for next year. I'll have one or two private events I'll do to shake it out before our season opener as well as the two pre-season events where I'll be teaching my DE2 class.
