Installed the TSP catted downpipe over the weekend.

Dropped off the upper heat shield at the powder-coater for a high-temp black coating.

My Recaro seats were released from customs in Illinois, so I should have them maybe tomorrow.

The PCI sliding seat mounts shipped out of CA yesterday. I hope to have the seat install completed within the next two weeks.

Curious as to why you didn't go for any of the coatings or the blanket they offer for the DP? Just going for a OE look?

A lot of that stuff is gimmicky to me...especially on a stock turbo.

The downpipe doesn't need to be coated unless you want to pop your hood and stare at a coated downpipe. I just want the OEM upper shield to be coated for vanity purposes.

That totally makes sense. Looking forward to seeing how the black heat shield turns out!

Yeah the coating is only useful if coated inside and out. Even then a wrap still outperforms it. Ideally you'd want both, but benefit to both over just wrap is tiny.

The big benefit to me is keeping heat out of other areas of the engine bay, like the radiator, block, water pump, charge piping, etc. Stock turbo the car already has heat issues two laps in on a hot day, so if your goal is driving reliability there's a lot of benefit to be had with wrap, blankets, and gold foils 😊.

Just sent my ECU to Jester!!!
Just wanted to provide an update here on this.

Got my unlocked ECU back the next day, plugged it in, and flashed Jester’s tune he sent over via email. Let me tell you holy shit, it feels like I’m driving a completely different car now. The power is unreal, it just keeps pulling like there’s no end. I don’t know exactly what magic he worked, but the car feels perfectly dialed in and insanely strong.

I’m already thinking about a few more upgrades, but after that… well, we’ll see. πŸ˜…

If you want a reliable, badass tune for your Integra Type S, I can’t recommend @JesterTuned enough. Hit him up you won’t regret it!

Track Time??
I'm hoping soon but to be honest I haven't really done any homework on how to make it happen. I'll start looking at clubs that do stuff at Road Atlanta.

I recommend NASA for first timers, especially because of their instruction. I instruct with NASA and independently so I'm a little biased, but I haven't seen anything close to that level of education with other groups. Your NASA region does several events at road Atlanta typically. Great track too. I used to live in that area and it was the first place I drove on track 😊.
