I've had mine for about a month now, enough to get a little familiar with it and yes I think it's the best value exhaust available for the DE5.

I will report that it can drone on deceleration, especially with the valve open. I noticed this while stuck in really shitty traffic in Northern Virginia. Obviously leaving it in comfort mitigates most of it, but it is still present. I found myself clutching early when decelerating after about an hour or so and was relieved when the trip was over... but honestly if anyone is caught in traffic for over an hour you've got plenty of other grievances to pile on to.

Also the resonance has unearthed other rattles in my interior. That's not so much the exhaust's fault but it is a side-effect.

The good side though is I've also taken it on a spirited cruise and it changes the dynamic of the experience. That's what I bought the exhaust for, so I'll deal with the quibbles.
Well said. I feel the same. I can tolerate the minor stuff for the enjoymemt of this system

@optronix how many miles do you have on it?

My borla was droney and a bit too loud the first few hundred miles, but after a track day break in and a thousand miles, it got way better. In comfort it's fairly stock like when just cruising now.

Out of a camry engine too.

I'd love an emira, but knowing me I'd tear it apart and turn it into a racecar within a few months and it's just too cool of a car for that today. Lotus has the best steering and shifting in the business though. I wish we had more exige cup cars that came to the US.
Who thought a Camry engine could sound like that? It's crazy.

It is such a cool car. To think I snobbed the Emira off when it was first announced because I had just got my allocation for a 718 GTS 4.0. I wouldn't want to try to turn this into a track car; this will be a sunny day fun car that may see occasional track use (probably the default autocross car...). Only thing I expect to do it would be that valvetronic header+exhaust.

Not too many miles, probably ~3-500 or so if that and 1 autocross day. It could possibly still be in the break in process.

I felt the same when I first got it but I think part of that too was just getting used to how much louder it is from stock.

Like optronix said though, the resonance definitely loosened up some rattles here and there. The annoying thing is it also depends on the temperature.

Finally got my wheels from Japan (it took 8 months). I didn't get a chance to put the stickers on or ceramic coat them yet so here's just a sneak peak.

These definitely bring strong EK/EG vibes, at least for me.

I definitely see that. Desmond made these wheels for Spoon (Spoon rebranded these as SW388) and then were copied by Rota as Rota Slipstreams and then everyone and their moms drove this wheel design back in the day.

I'll update my build page with more pics once I get these wheels ceramic coated. Not sure if I want to put blue stickers on these, white stickers or just leave them as is yet.

Detail and details! I went all in with the "Type S" logos. Going for the obnoxious branding approach, a la M car.

Love your interior! Did you wrap the accent panels yourself? And what steering wheel is that?
