Hi,
Sharing my personal experience with Synth Carbon.
I purchased and installed Integra Carbon Fiber OEM Style Mirror Caps in mid 2024. I recently noticed an issue with my right (passenger) mirror cap - the layers got separated (see photos). I contacted their support, and was not happy with how they handled the case.
Their support response was:
- 6 months warranty passed.
- They made design improvements with new mirror caps.
- Offered me a 15% off coupon to purchase a new set of mirror caps.
From my view:
- The product failed under normal, well-protected conditions: my car is consistently garaged and is not exposed to prolonged sunlight.
- I have other carbon fiber components (spoiler, hood vent, steering-wheel trim and dashboard overlays) from other manufacturers, and I have no issues.
- I would expect them to replace the right cap (to clarify, the left / driver mirror cap is fine). Warranty normally covers ordinary wear and tear. To me it's a clear design defect and should be owned by the company.
I cannot speak to their other products or other people experience.
