Do you like rear fill or are you a front stage + subwoofer only kind of guy? (Asking so I can make a tailored suggestion).
I like some rear fill, plus I do drive with passengers and I'd like for them to hear music too, so front stage+sub isn't really my jam. A well-designed surround-capable system is what I like.

I still think you're thinking about this the wrong way (respectfully). Sure, you could do all the reverse engineering you just described but it would be more work than an aftermarket DSP solution and it would still sound worse thanks to an inferior DAC implementation vs any of the easily obtainable common DSP brands. And you wouldn't have the flexible tuning ability of the DSP, plus time alignment, various filter adjustments, preset capability, and more.
I mean realistically I am fine with the factory EQ and such on most channels, I don't care to get into time alignment for staging and all that, it ruins the sound for my passengers and can be too fiddly with exact head placement in my experiences. I just like balanced sound with solid impact, ample bass, a hint of sparkle up top, and lots of headroom. I don't care for presets and all that either. I'm still contemplating the module you do produce, to match it up with a Helix DSP/amp combo sort of deal, relatively simple system. I don't want or need anything fancy in my daily driver, it's bound to get banged up and used so a bulky system and 200lbs of deadening is not for me whatsoever, I prefer easy and light.

Either way, there are options!

Really too bad the factory EQ is just a 3 band applied to the system as a whole. I'd love some per channel control. I think the center is way too prominent. (Also worth noting, if you set the system to "rear only", you may be surprised how little it's doing.)

200lbs!? 🫪

I hit the entire floor of the cabin, the hatch, and the doors with 80mil Killmat and it only added up to 50...

FREAKING HUGE UPDATE.

I have just released PURE Gen2 for sale, side by side with Gen1. Both are active products on my website so this isn't a "coming soon" post. :)

Here are the deets on why Gen2 was made and why it makes sense to continue selling Gen1:

PURE ships in two hardware generations, sold side by side. Neither replaces the other, and the right pick depends on the DSP to be used, and the controls you need.

Gen1 and Gen2 differ in how they control volume. Gen1 adjusts volume through the DSP’s wired analog remote-control input. It therefore requires a DSP adapter matched to the processor which is included in the sale.

Gen2 requires no DSP adapter, as it performs volume attenuation internally before it delivers the digital SPDIF signal to the DSP. This broadens the range of compatible processors and frees the DSP’s remote input for accessory digital controllers like Helix's Conductor or Director, for example.

Retaining the wired remote architecture means Gen1 can also support integrated subwoofer-level control, unlike Gen2. Additionally, Gen1 is able to take advantage of DSP's with adjustable loudness contours while Gen2 cannot.

Which Generation is right for you depends on the features you prioritize:
  1. Get Gen1 if you want subwoofer level control capability from your head unit, and/or intend to use your DSP's programmable loudness contour. Just make sure you have a compatible DSP first.
  2. Get Gen2 if you want to be able to use DSP brands like Audison, or any other than uses digital-only remote control interfaces, and if you want to use your DSP's own advanced digital remote control for preset switching, tone controls, fader and balance etc.

Greetings all! Sorry I haven't posted in a while but it's been for good reason - the reception on PURE has been strong and I've been focused on product development, growth, customer support, and securing B2B relationships! I have added a B2B section on my site which shows who is reselling AND installing PURE in North America, and more names are being added regularly (a big one for Canada will be added at the end of this week once they launch the line!)

One of the outcomes of all of the interactions with both B2C and B2B customers is useful feedback on product. For example, the Gen2 model is considerably more popular than Gen1 due to being broadly compatible with DSP manufacturers while Gen1 requires specific DSP brands to work with. There are still some technical and financial reasons why Gen1 might be preferable, but I'm going to let the customer base dictate my strategy rather than being stubborn. As such, I have discounted the remaining Gen1 units and will not be manufacturing more, so if you want to save a good chunk of cash, now is the time to pick up a Gen1 unit for your car.

The next update is really exciting for me, and I hope for many of you. I am working with two well-known manufacturers to put together PURE+DSP "bundles" where you can buy both products from me, and I will provide a custom-made plug-and-play harness to use with the DSP, along with a configuration file that matches your vehicle's speaker layout already, so all you need to do is install and tune. Later on, I will likely add an option to the bundle for speakers with adapter plates and wiring adapters for a full system replacement, but I'll be starting with just the DSP's first.

I'll be able to reveal which brands I am working with for these bundles very soon.

As always, please post here or DM/email me with any suggestions, questions, or requests. S2i is community-driven, and always will be.

Best,
-Ash

Very happy with how my system turned out using the s2i v1. Glad to see it’s really taking off for you.

I'm curious - who here would be interested in a complete T harness for full system integration (specifically analog speaker level input, not pure digital conversion like I'm doing)? This harness would enable intercepting every independent OEM channel into your DSP/amplifier.

Building the harness is a pretty involved procedure since the output plug on the ELS amplifier is so new that there is only a board-mount connector available, rather than the much easier to assemble cable-style plug.
Now that I'm reading back through this thread, I would be interested in a sacrificial "extension" harness that could be tapped into and cut / tee-d off as needed, plugged in between the stock wiring and the Bose amp, for my 2026 Si since I would love to add a subwoofer and something compact like a Kicker Key amp for the front stage.

Is that something you could perhaps do?

Sorry for the slow response - I've been manufacturing harnesses for a large distributor order all weekend. Regrettably, I no longer have analog T-harnesses on my pipeline as I need to focus all my R&D energy into next-gen digital integration (which includes your 2026 Si).

Sorry for the bad news - the upside is that by September I will be fully focused on the A2B integration R&D once I get these orders processed. I have purchased some of the proprietary technology needed to reverse-engineer Honda's protocol and hope to be doing prototype testing by mid-Fall.

hold up I leave the forums for a fewand some genius comes up in here and creates an AMP REPLACEMENT INTERFACE?

Can I use this with an AudioControl DSP?

LMAO! Helluv an intro to the thread - I dig it!

Two things: do you have the ELS system in your Teggy? It's a requirement for this to work as the non-ELS has no external amp.

Second - the Audiocontrol DSPs will work with a big caveat - they do not have signal ducking capability so when you get chimes or nav voice responses the DSP won't properly attenuate any music that is playing (temporarily) like the newer generations of DSPs from Arc Audio, Helix and Audison can do.

It's up to you whether you're ok with that compromise or not. I do not recommend Audiocontrol on my website specifically for this reason.

If that's a key feature for you to have, then you should look into a DSP amp upgrade, unfortunately.

Yeah I have a Type S!

I just prefer Audio Control as a brand, and I have an LC1.800. I can check out the other brands. Lastly, I saw on the thread that you have a mono set up for the rear speakers. Is that standard on your PURE system, or just what you chose? I know for sound quality the rear speakers don't matter for much, but I like the C pillar speakers 😂
