Low 2026 Type S inventory?

Hi all, looking to buy a 2026 ITS soonish, but it feels like there's much less 2026 inventory than there was last year for 2025 cars? Is there any truth to this or am I just misremembering how much inventory there was in previous years? Is there any indication that the 2026 will be the last model year?

A quick search at the dealerships around me showed four available. Seems about the same as last year. There was a time, I think in the spring/summer, where there were more available. Not sure if it’ll be the last year. Since HRC is reportedly making parts for the ITS, maybe it’s here to stay? You could talk to the dealers and see what they have coming in. That’s what I did and got mine the day it arrived!

The production as far as I'm aware is much less over the winter. Example the Canadian market has no deliveries between December and March and that's because of the PS4 tires.

If you got one now I think it's SN would probably be a pretty low #. Got an Aspec in Oct 2024 and all the ones they had on the lot were. They've probably only made a few deliveries of new model year vehicles to each dealer, and I think the next round comes Feb/March.

Im in Canada and i have my 26' ITS supposedly being delivered soon. I was told first week of December but now delayed to end of year/ early Jan

Sounds like a screw up they're having to deal with, not standard practice. I know I got mine November 17th 2023 and it was according to the dealership the last batch before spring.

I don't want to scare you but check over the tires carefully when taking delivery, the PS4 come with instructions from Michelin to not drive on the tire under 4 degrees celsius. Unless you are in Vancouver, the likelihood is that they will be moving it in sub zero temperatures.

Hopefully everything will work out and Christmas will come early for you.

I am in Vancouver but am planning on switching getting the copper wheels and putting winters on the grey ones when I get the car
