  1. Joining the Type S Family!

That wrap looks great. I am really curious how they got it to lay down into the INTEGRA logo insets in the bumpers.
  2. Needed to hear this when I first got this car, driving technique improved!

I've owned/driven probably 40-50 manual trans cars over the years (I'm old) and they are all a little bit different. The biggest change in recent years is throttle management enabled by drive by wire throttle pedals. Among other things, the throttle map can be programmed to prevent stall...
  3. Rear widebody stick-on starting to peel off

Don't look close if you care about fit and finish. One of my coworkers pointed out a very minor mismatch between the rear bumper and rear quarter where they meet up, and I was like "you think that is bad?" before showing him some of the real glaring issues. It does boggle my mind that Acura...
  4. A year with my 2025 Type S

These cars are impressively good for FWD and break many preconceptions.
  5. Adding seat padding and reducing road noise?

Somehow this particular platform -- the Integra rides on a Civic sedan architecture converted to a hatchback, not the actual Civic hatchback architecture -- picked up many undesirable characteristics with road noise and resonance. It seems to manifest worst in the Type-S. I've driven the...
  6. Chewing up tire only on one side

Everything about that one tire suggests it has a defect and/or wasn't fully cooked. The lines and the feathering seem to be exposing layers and delamination, which I wouldn't expect to see on a properly made tire.
  7. Poll: Do you leave it in gear when you park your Type S?

Am I the only one who uses wheel chocks? 😂
  8. Digital Cluster customization?

The screenshots of the Type R cluster are from +R mode, and there are a couple other graphics styles on the car (just like the Integra) that tie into the driving modes and can be set for Individual mode. It's all done in software, and controlled by a couple computer modules on the vehicle that...
  9. Steering wheel shimmy/alignment at start and stop no longer working?

Normal behavior -- check the Civic forums for more info. I experienced this on my ITS and my CTR also does it. My friend's Civic Touring does it too. I think it's some sort of startup calibration or load sensing for the electric power steering or lane keeping assist. I'd say it happens about...
  10. 2025 Integra Type S | I really wanted to like it.

Re: quality, I traded my ITS for a CTR at the end of August. Having only a few hundred miles on the CTR, I cannot comment about long term quality yet (or even over the 9 month / 8,000 mile experience I had with the ITS before trading). But in terms of initial quality, the CTR is so much better...
  11. 2025 Integra Type S | I really wanted to like it.

I agree with many of these points. If Acura addressed some of the issues, it would be a much better car. Needs more convenience features (memory seats, rear USB, Homelink, etc) to really compete in this class and be what we expect from Acura. The front seats are mediocre and not in keeping...
  12. ITS Squealing brakes both on and off the pedal

Probably a rock caught between the brake rotor and shield on one of your front wheels. It happened to me all the time on my ITS -- the car seems especially prone to it. Sometimes it will resolve if you drive in reverse. Otherwise, if you wait long enough the rock will wear down and then get...
  13. Metal wire hanging beneath front of car

Looks like road debris. You'll have real problems when the part sticking out has fur or antlers.
  14. G80 M3 to Type S what do you think?

No holograms on the CTR that I could see, although the color is Championship White which hides stuff like that to the naked eye. Orange peel is noticeable but it's consistent, unlike my ITS where it was different all over the car and even had finer orange peel inside coarser orange peel. The...
  15. G80 M3 to Type S what do you think?

I find the over-rev behavior annoying but can't say I notice any ill effects even when going into the next gear. It really only happens to me when merging on the highway, which is one of the rare places I can afford to open up my cars and stay somewhat legal. Interestingly, I recently traded...
  16. G80 M3 to Type S what do you think?

The RWD M cars have a reputation for being a handful, but I am convinced that is more because of people being idiots leaving cars and coffee events. I've had my 2020 M2 Comp (F87) for 6 years now, RWD 6MT and much more power than what BMW specs on paper -- they rate it at 405HP engine power...
  17. G80 M3 to Type S what do you think?

Outstanding summary. The G-series M cars really do make it feel like the driver is isolated from everything. It could almost be a virtual drive if you weren't physically sitting in the car. I don't understand how they work so hard to put the whole package together with some very impressive...
  18. G80 M3 to Type S what do you think?

The Type S is far more cohesive feeling than modern BMW M cars and I think that makes it more enjoyable and rewarding to drive. I have an M2 Competition which I love, but it really lacks the overall integrated feel you get with the Type S. It's like the BMW's front suspension, rear suspension...
  19. Paint mismatch on rear bumper?

Don't look too close at the paintwork on the ITS if you want to enjoy the car. I've never owned a vehicle with so many different paint flaws combined together. It's like they wanted to make a tutorial on paint defects for a training course or something. I have noticed subtle mismatches in...
  20. Just got Phearable stage 2 tuned - rev hang is still there... :-(

I think we're creating unnecessary confusion here by describing this as "rev hang". Completely different animal. Rev hang is when the RPMs drop very slowly and lazily. The 1.5L engine in the base and A-spec Integra, and Civic Si, has horrible rev hang. I noticed it right away and could never...
