Hello, I've been spending lots of time trying to find the right set of wheels to get after the ps4s' on the stock wheels run out of tread. I've gone through a couple different options, but have ultimately decided that I would like some CE28's on my TEP baby. However, I am not sure which offset to choose as I would like to have a a wheel face that doesn't look flat or convex. I have seen the photos of those god spec +40 offset CR2's, and I like how those look, but I want to have a wheel that is not just black.

Therefore, I am stuck between the 37 and the 44 offset options. Would anyone be able to help point me in the right direction on which wheel offset is correct for me?

+37:

+44:
https://www.blackhawkjapan.com/products/rays-02188954421pg?_pos=16&_sid=051ba8165&_ss=r

Also, the links are to BHJ because I have had successful purchases from them before, but I am a little unsure about the safety of buying wheels from them; does anyone know if they are just as safe when buying wheels?

Short answer- either of those options should work, but which is right for you may vary slightly.

Longer answer- +37 on a 9.5 wheel would probably be as far as you could go without starting to run into rubbing issues. So how far do you want to push it as far as "poke"? It seems that +44 would be the more comfortable option. +45 seems to be arguably the single most popular choice for aftermarket wheel offset on this platform- but also many folks as you mention opt for the +40 on a 10" wheel "god spec".

Here's a great reference point to actually see some of these wheels on our cars, and many folks in this thread are active members you could reach out to directly.

https://www.integraforums.com/forum/threads/wheels-tires-suspension-setup-pics-thread.52107/

There are also similar threads on the Civic forums that would be relevant.

I'd happily weigh in more on the god spec fitment as I have bought a set of 18x10 +40 CE28Ns, but they're still in the box until I get some tires for them (I do at least have new TPMS sensors on the way so a couple more weeks and they'll be on). But I also have lowered the car on Eibach Pro-Kit springs, and added camber with lower ball joints so it wouldn't be a 1:1. There are lots of testimonials though of similar fitments on both stock and lowered cars, with and without camber adjustments, many in that thread.

As for Blackhawk, there's a thread on the Civic forums on that topic as well. I think the only major question would be around tariffs. Some folks I believe have reported some pretty shocking tariff charges on parts they've ordered from Blackhawk, and I think there was just a post yesterday asking if that's been resolved recently, and apparently it has not. But probably worth reaching out to Blackhawk directly if you plan to go through them.

Another very strong option is to keep an eye on the classifieds on both these forums. I found mine new in box with hub rings, center caps, and lugs from a guy on the Civic forums, for a reasonable price. I drove about an hour away and scooped them up, avoiding the wait, tariffs, etc. You may have similar luck.

I bought my rims from BHJ and they are legit. However, if you're buying Volks and any name brand rims, there is a wait list. It's based on manufacturing schedule and you're just jumping on the queue based on their manufacturing time. Took me roughly about 6 months to received my G025. As mention above, you will most likely be hit with tariff so take that into consideration, luckily I got mine before the hike, so I had to pay a small fee to receive mine.

Yeah, I am not crazy surprised by the wait time as I bought a set of Watanabes a few years back and they said they would take 6-8 months to get to me. Luckily, the wait was wayyy shorter than that, which was nice.

Is there any guess as to the severity of the tariff?

Currently tariff price is about 15% but I've read some horror stories that UPS did some crazy tariff calculations and charge multiple different rates based on material used. When I purchased mine, I was charge about 5-6%, that was before the hike.

Thanks. That is what I read when I looked up the tariff prices, but I thought I would ask just in case I was looking in the wrong direction.

Still way cheaper to buy from BHJ as the estimated price, with tariff, should be ~$2400 while any CE28 on a us site is ~$4300 per set. Don't really get the crazy price hike to 1k per wheel, but I am glad there is a cheaper alternative.

Thanks, again, for the help

Still running stock height.. Debating either getting springs or fatter tires.
19x9.5 +44 (265/30 stock tires)

Thanks! I was really looking hard at the G025s (especially the Shining Bronze Metallic ones) so I'm glad someone's tried them. Absolutely gorgeous! I really want the 10.5s to work but somehow I don't quite think they'll fit, lol.

Actually mine is shining black.. probably its the way how the sunlight is hitting it making it look like a tint of bronze lol

Sorry, I meant I was just looking at the bronze ones generally, not that those in particular looked bronze, haha. I can definitely tell they're black (a really nice black, too) and I think the setup looks great; thanks again for sharing!

Yeah those look fantastic. They were actually my first choice but I just couldn't stomach the wait.

My vote is springs. I don't like the muscle car look by using tires to fill the wheel well gap, could be just me but IMO doesn't fit the vibe of this car. Someone did this and it didn't look bad but just wasn't my personal favorite look (@Tw1stedlog1k I'm pretty sure that was you...). In that sense, this also applies to the fatter tires by going to 18s is only justified if the car is lowered.

But springs come with their own caveats- but if your use case isn't competitive autocross then the downsides from springs are minimal. If you are interested in maintaining the car's handling characteristics at or near the limit, you'll just need to think out a couple more things; mainly camber. There's a few threads on this topic and the platform is still relatively new so the ideal solution may still be out there but I'm pretty happy with my car's setup for the time being.

I just bought a set of 18x10+40 CE28N+ in Shining Bronze as I may have mentioned already but they're not on the car yet. Trying to hold out for the new Bridgestone RE-71RZ but they're backordered and I may have to figure out a contingency as my first AX event is in less than 4 weeks. Here's my setup with 19x9.5+45 Apex VS-5RS on the OEM PS4S. Eibach Pro-Kit springs.

Guilty. It wasn't a look that I preferred so I ended up settling on 275/30 very shortly after.

OP: do you have plans to lower? If yes, +37. If not, +37.
