  1. Bad PPF install?

I had a fair bit of lifting on my PPF, but it was pretty much all around the inside edges where it was tucked in - the installer trimmed it and haven't had any issues since, and nothing like what's pictured here. They did have to ultimately do the mirrors in two pieces because of the shape; not...
  2. [Fixed] Buzzing/Rattle Noise around 4K-4.5K RPM During Cold Start

110% - our local Porsche, Audi, and Mercedes dealerships definitely have the Acura dealership beat. And while I love the driving experience of the ITS much more than the RS3 or any other of the cars I've driven or owned, the fit and finish of the paint and exterior leave much to be desired, and...
  3. [Fixed] Buzzing/Rattle Noise around 4K-4.5K RPM During Cold Start

I feel this - my dealer basically told me they wouldn't diagnose any of the interior rattles/buzzing sounds because "it's a race car and that's to be expected". I guess if it eventually bothers me enough, I'll go hunting with some felt tape, lol.
  4. Acuity Short Shifter review

I was thinking of doing this once I get some replacement center console trim (gotta get rid of the piano black) so I can knock it all out in one fell swoop, so thank you for the writeup!
  5. DSC Sport Suspension Module for our cars!

I'm on stock suspension and just got my module installed a little bit ago. I'll concede that my first impressions should be taken with a grain of salt because I haven't yet tracked this car, I didn't drive a ton with the new module yet, and it's currently well below the temperature rating for...
  6. DSC Sport Suspension Module for our cars!

I ended up grabbing one of these after looking up the damper module swap and seeing it was super easy. Thanks to all who responded earlier, too; I learned a lot especially from the Honda global site that was linked. We'll see how it goes since my car's still on OEM suspension - super excited though!
  7. DSC Sport Suspension Module for our cars!

This sounds pretty cool, although I have a couple of (probably dumb) questions: does this just retune the static dampening "curves", or does it introduce a semi-active system that responds to changes in the road (e.g. bumpiness versus a tight turn)? Admittedly this one's more because I'm curious...
  8. Blendmount Mirror Tap and/or Dongar USB Dash cam adapter

I installed the Dongar adapter (the new USB-C one) a few weeks ago; it only provides power while the car is running as far as I'm aware.
  9. Adding memory drivers seat

Yeah I'd be interested in this, too; the lack of seat memory is by far my biggest issue with this car. Especially since some of the other trims (and my other car that's nearly old enough to drink) have them.
  10. Guardian Designs Corsa Zero steering wheel installed!

When I was shopping between the Miata and the ITS, one of the things that really influenced me towards the Miata was seeing all of the options Guardian Designs had for it, so when I reached out and they agreed to try and make one for the ITS, it helped seal the deal. I really love how clean this...
  11. Guardian Designs Corsa Zero steering wheel installed!

Hey everyone! One of the things I wanted for my Type S was a thicker steering wheel (and preferably one with a flatter bottom), but the existing aftermarket options were a little too much for my taste. So I reached out to Guardian Designs, who do my favorite wheels but didn't have one for the...
  12. Possibilities/limitations of modifying exhaust through ECU flashing

This is exactly what I was looking for (and incidentally answers a follow-up question I had ready as well) so I appreciate the insight - thank you!
  13. Possibilities/limitations of modifying exhaust through ECU flashing

Hey all! Can tuning/ECU flashing make changes to specific parameters of the exhaust system? Specifically, and I'm willing to admit this may be sacrilege here, I'd like to change the "Sport" setting to have the exhaust valves closed but still have the pops, as I feel that sometimes the louder...
  14. Paint mismatch on rear bumper?

So I think viewing devices and interoperability are definitely playing a role - when posted here and converted to .webp, the picture seems to lose a lot of the dynamic range that makes it much more obvious when I view the original on my phone or laptop. Reality I'd say lies somewhere in between...
  15. Paint mismatch on rear bumper?

Funnily enough, I was originally looking for a blue/orchid combo, but they were all pretty far away - I've ended up really loving the black interior, though, especially as it's a nice contrast to my other car with a lighter interior. Also glad for the note on Soul Red because I always told...
  16. Paint mismatch on rear bumper?

Thanks! I should have included in my original post (I did edit it now to add) that I know it won't be perfect on any car, but the rear bumper is definitely far worse than the front. I can't tell the front is different unless I'm really scrutinizing it (which has generally been my experience with...
  17. Paint mismatch on rear bumper?

Hi all, Picked up an Apex Blue Pearl Type S about a month ago now, and for all the reasons I'm sure everybody's gone over here before, it's an amazing car. However while washing, I noticed that the rear bumper seems slightly mismatched from the rest of the vehicle. I've asked a few people and...
