Question I got the model F with reverse tilt mirror which my a spec tech is already pre wired for. I got the new mirrors installed everything works except that the reverse tilt will tilt down as it should but when I move out of reverse instead of it going up it tilts to the right. Is there a calibration process I can do to fix this?

Also my memory seats are no longer working but when I put my old driver window switch back in then the memory seats work but then the folding mirrors don’t work. Anybody fix this to have both things work?

Memory seats are working again after working with mik. Needed new switches and window motors for the a spec tech.

I recently got the Model F (Acura with reverse tilt), for my CVT A-Spec Tech.

It came with way more parts than I expected, including window motors, and no instructions how to install them šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I got the mirrors themselves installed (had to de-pin the whole connector to swap bases, but other than that it was straightforward), and the folding works, but I'm in a similar boat to u/4Dparadox.
  • The folding works perfectly, and it's glorious. Adjusting the left/right mirrors works well.
  • I can't control the rear windows (the switch panel it came with is 4 automatic windows, instead of the 2-auto that most of the kits get)
  • Putting the car in reverse tilts the mirror down, but like above, when I put it back into drive, instead of going back up, it goes further down and then starts skipping as it bottoms out
Super frustrating that I can't find the instructions for the extra stuff it came with. I sent an email to their support (well, first I tried to just buy the 2-auto panel to see if I can skip the rear-auto windows, and then they emailed me asking why I ordered another panel, and I gave them all the details).

I'll post an update when I've figured this all out, but in the meantime I can't control my rear windows or use the A-spec's reverse-tilt feature, which is a huge bummer.

so I have everything working except the reverse tilt. For the rear windows did you replace the rear window switches as well and the rear window motors to accommodate the new 4 auto switch?
My a spec has 4 auto working on all 4 windows.

my reverse tilt goes down but also bottoms out and goes to the right instead of up to original location. I gave up on that and just don’t use it.

To add to this. I went back and forth with Mil regarding the A Spec Tech and the F kit. When I installed the F kit it came with the 2 auto switch. The folding mirrors worked perfectly but I lost memory seat control. The buttons on the door were no longer responsive. The car remembered the last settings before the install. But I could not set new positions.
Mik and I found that the solution was to install the 4 auto switch which had the inboard chip for memory seats. I also had to replace the rear window switches and the rear window motors. This granted me another upgrade of 4 auto up windows.
Initially right after install the back windows didn’t work. I had to calibrate them by rolling them all the way down and all the way up using the rear switches. Then everything worked from the 4 auto driver switches.
I gave up on the reverse tilt or rather I didn’t give much effort to figure out as I didn’t want to take car apart again. If you figure out how to fix it please let me know.

I haven't put in the motors yet, honestly I didn't even know if the motors were for the front or the back, since there were zero instructions. "I want folding motors so I have to install automatic rear windows otherwise my memory seats won't work" is such a statement on how automotive electrical systems work šŸ˜…

Thanks for the info, I'll go ahead with the rear motor install when the weather gets nicer.

How many extra wires/pins did you have to install into the harnesses? I did a total of five:
  • white, black, green in the driver door
  • white, black on the passenger door
This got the folding mirrors, but my kit came with a ton of extra wires (with pins crimped on) and I have no idea what they're supposed to be for.

I believe I did the same as you. I didn’t need other wires because our cars are pre wired for everything pretty much. I just don’t know why the reverse tilt isn’t working. Must be different how they wire it in the US and overseas.

for the rear motor switches. You need these wires

Thank you so much, this helps a ton.

One last question, where does that gray/purple harness go? Driver door?

Edit: yes, driver door.

Just got done the full install (A-spec Tech Package, "Model F Acura With Reverse Tilt" Kit, in-case anyone stumbles on this later), folding mirrors and automatic rear windows are working. I disabled the reverse tilt until someone figures out how to make it work.

Some notes from my install:
  • Installing the rear motors was not too bad. Hardest part was not being able to see the motor. Once I took a picture inside the door, I was able to find the bolts by feel to undo them
  • The rear window switches seem specific to each side. I had them backwards at first, and the driver door panel was operating the rear-left window on the rear-right button. Had to switch them
  • At first I messed up the calibration, and one of the rear windows refuse to close (anti-pinch function I assume). I was able to "clear" the calibration by connecting the switches to the other side
    • I put the right switch on the left door, and it would forget its calibration. Then put it back on the right side, and re-calibrate it by fully lowering and opening the window
    • Don't ask me how this works. Some sort of black magic (or questionable Engineering choices) I assume
  • My reverse-tilt doesn't work, but I was able to unplug the tilt wire to fully disable it. So now it doesn't move in the wrong direction anymore. Everything else about the passenger mirror still works.
  • Seems like the "open windows using keyfob" feature no longer works.

To disable the reverse tilt, I you can de-pin this white wire (note, it's not actually white, this is from the mikstore installation instructions for the reverse-tilt kit)
