That crossed my mind too but they donāt look pushed back in other pics in the set⦠but they could be moved between shots which seems unlikely unless the keys were handy which seems unlikely too.
Rear seat room was definitely a factor in my picking the ā17 Si sedan over the hatch. Itās been a...
From some angles it almost looks like a black version of the weave in the Civic. That would be an excellent compromise⦠itād still look different and good but shouldnāt attract fingerprints.
Btw, anyone else getting worried about the rear legroom? Itās looking cramped⦠my little person aināt...
They would probably reuse it unless they felt their compact SUV was sufficiently different from the CDX to rename it⦠like say on a new platform.
They couldāve easily reused the ILX name but The Force is strong with these marketing people so here we are :)
Ya Ikeda has been asked about the CDX in NA frequently and just says no plans at this time. Lexus has shown thereās a market here for luxury compact SUV but Acura hasnāt been interested. Not sure if itās a resource issue or they just donāt think the market wants it enough. Some of both maybe...
The timing is right for it to be for their version of the Lyriq so itās most likely that. I canāt see them selling too many of those though.
They need to get into the ev space yesterday sure but theyāre leaving money on the table without an SUV under the RDX. It should be landing before a...
Wasnāt it still TBD what they were going to use that model designation for? Thought the 2 running theories were new electric SUV or new entry level ICE SUV.
Seats with ultra suede, lumbar support, better design will be a significant upgrade. If red is an option thatāll feel very Acuraā¦Iād be interested in that with white exterior.
HUD Iād rather not have. Full digital display will be nice.
ELS will be very welcome over my 17 Siās stereo.
Hi-res...
Thoughtsā¦
looks like higher trim Civic at a glance, Type S is going to need a lot of changes to get me to that price point
Civic wheel with an A on it, flat bottom Acura wheel should be on Type S at least
Console is totally Civic, needs differentiation but piano black is a bad choice, new...
Base will get those looking for:
- an Si hatchback
- a value-based new entry into the brand
- an Acura worthy of a return to the brand for previous fans
I think the base will do fairly well⦠especially if the price is close to the ST Civic hatch.
Ya itās a decent color⦠and nice to see the Integra even if just a glimpse. They couldāve shown it driving though.
As for cvt, Iāll be shocked if Acura does that to the Integra.
After doing the TLX S, NSX S and MDX S, it would make zero sense to not do the Integra S.
In my mind itās a question of when, not if. Are you thinking there may not be an Integra S coming soonish, ie this year?
There should definite be some features there we havenāt seen yet. If theyāre bringing rev matching to the Si there shouldnāt be much off limits for the Type S.
Not that Wikipedia is necessarily correct, but they claim the K20C4 (Accord) is internally identical to the K20C6 (TLX) and mount points are the only difference. If the C4 can take a manual youād think the C6 could too⦠unless the mount points are at issue.
Seems the AT is fairly likely in the Type S⦠wonder what the odds are of a MT also.
If they hype up the manual in those commercials to then only give the Type S an auto that would be disappointing.
