Yep, and while supply chain/chip issues should be a lot better by summer next year, I’d be surprised if the Integra Type S isn’t somewhat delayed also.
The thing I’m most interested in about the Type S is release date. Judging by the MDX, they probably won’t be available until end of Q4’22 at the earliest and maybe Q1’23.
The hit that is the 2022 Si is making that wait seem like forever and an effin day.
I have confidence in Honda’s ability to make the Integra fun. They know it has to be a comparable or better driving experience than the Si.
Expect better in the Type S and comparable in the other trims.
I don’t care much about 0-60 times but I won’t buy an Integra that’s noticeably slower...
Those Si reviews better stop being so awesome.
I’d really rather not have to go through the process of getting one of those to then do it all over when the Integra lands.

It’s so close I can hear the Internet complaining already!
I, and others here, on the other hand will be quite pleased with the Acura version of the Si hatch. The real only surprise so far was that decal on the prototype.
It’ll be interesting to see how a company, whose ice motors have been arguably their key differentiator, transitions to electric motors.
They dug themselves a bit of a hole by not focusing on EVs after making the Insight. I suppose if electric motors and batteries become commodities they can...
I dunno man… with the Integra starting at 30k an Elantra at 34k is hard to wrap my head around. Hyundai deserves credit for making some decent performance cars but interior/exterior don’t hold up well when compared to Civics let alone what the Integra will look like.
- ya black can’t be the only colour wheels they have planned, needs to be a classy looking Integra too
- Type S brakes won’t be cheap but the other trims should be fine
- people that’ve seen the prototype in person are saying it has Acura seats /w adjustable headrest and a Civic interior but...
The Type S won’t be cheap, especially in Canada. So I was wondering, what will that car have to have before I’ll bite the bullet? That’s tricky though, it’ll be a combination of things to get me to buy.
However, they’ll make it easy for me to not want it if they do any of the below…
- no...
Yep we’ll get an Integra too… but it won’t just have the same feature list as an Si. For one it’s a hatchback, and it’ll have Acura seats (reportedly) + nicer materials too. It’ll probably have a better audio system too.
You can’t argue the new Integra isn’t polarizing and ultimately that probably works in Honda’s favor.
If someone over there put those decals on the prototype to ruffle some feathers that was genius.
The more talk generated by the car the more people paying attention when the production...
