I’ll record a video tomorrow…. Sounds better than what’s out now for the DE5. Shaved weight, all titanium and it’s Tomei what else can I say lol… only downfall is the drone at lower speeds/higher rpm 2-3k. But that’s the usual with Tomei exhausts. It’s loud AF… but sounds amazing. If you want a sound clip go look up FL5 Tomei Type D sound clips on YouTube. It’s the same exact sound due to being the same power plant.
Hey bud, just wanted to know how is the drone on the highway with the tomei? I'm on the fence on giving up the valves from my miltek for the weight savings from the tomei. I'd appreciate if you maybe got some video in cabin while on highway??

Remark Integra Type S SS Exhaust comes with front pipe.

My review is that it’s subtle. The lack of the electronic control valve didn’t change the sound difference between sport and sport+ which was what I was going for. The pops still only happen in sport+. I chose this after listening to all the sound clips where it sounded deeper but not too loud.

Last week I did a mid-muffler delete (after the valve) and am very happy with the results! Valve function is retained and there is around 20-30% more volume! Seems very pop/crackle happy now after the muffler is removed too, lol.

Are you still liking it? I was thinking of getting a Borla exhaust but may go this route first to see how it sounds.

If you can find a shop to do it. No one around me would touch this exhaust setup for fear of ruining the tip alignment. They all want to chop and delete the whole section or pull the resonator.

I would have gone this route if I could find a shop to do it, but since I couldn't I went borla.

Ah, got it. I will have to check around!

Do you like the Borla? Would you recommend as an aftermarket if I can’t get someone to delete the muffler? Leaning towards the carbon fiber tips.

I love the borla, but I hate all of their tip options. At some point I'll chop my tips and add some other ones.

There is a distinct "borla" sound that anyone and everyone knows when heard, and even on track where we've had some wild sounding setups I've gotten positive comments from others. They put in a helmholtz res, which when tuned with the ability to select valve opening and closing rpm and load, you can close up to reduce sound a bit or simply get over the drone/rasp you get with vtec changeover and that specific 4cyl engine resonance. I'm very happy with the results I've gotten out of it and the natural rumble and pops it gives are even better than the synthetic acura pops.

I do think these valved exhausts on this platform are all a bit overpriced, but at least I felt with this product they took the time to tune sound and I felt that's worth something.

I was thinking the same thing. The sound of it seems exactly what I’m looking for but the tips aren’t my favorite. Pretty sure they designed it for the CTR with the larger center tip and smaller outer tips.

Thanks for your perspective! I really appreciate it!

I don't mind the size variation as much as the style. I hate rolled tips like this, they just look cheap. The carbon ones look even cheaper to me and a bit too busy. I prefer something double wall, slash cut, angled edge, and most preferably resonated. Like ark tips 😅

Can't beat the sound though.

Do you have any videos of your setup? There are not many videos of the Borla option on YouTube. I don’t know that I’ve seen a setup with an aftermarket downpipe either.

I don't have any videos actually. I'm behind on uploading my track videos as well.

I'll look for some time during the holiday and post a few things up. You're right there aren't many good videos of the borla. The ones that do exist aren't really focusing on the day to day use. Ideally I'd love to get a few revs, windows up, windows down, valve closed, valve sport, and sport+. Keep in mind I also have a mountain of sound deadening to keep the road noise down, so my car isn't the fairest example for interior noise.

I’d like to share my stock dp q300 video and my q300 with resonator replaced by a 3” in and out fluid motor union megaphone. But the files are too large. Any advice? I don’t have a YouTube account.
