I just want to buy OEM wiper blades without worrying about having to return them if they don't fit. I'm finding this non-trivial.

Has anyone gone through this already? Surely someone in the last two years has replaced the wiper blades on their Type S? Are they indeed the same parts as the A spec? I can't seem to get confirmation on this... OEM Acura parts websites should be a source of truth but actually are not helpful (without Type S???)

I don't want to have to take a trip to the dealer just to make sure I don't buy the wrong parts. Make it make sense.

From a canadian Acura site:

Acura Integra Wiper Blades... 1763820987098-98

Seems you can't buy just the rubber blade.

But I could buy just the blade for my TLX-S, and the wipers seemed very similar to the ITS. I might give that route a closer look when I need to replace them. For the moment, when I bought the ITS, I bought replacement wipers to have some when needed. Still haven't replaced them though.

They sold you the complete blade, but all you needed were inserts. I needed an insert for my 4Runner, and the dealer parts guy kept quoting me for the complete blade. I found the part number and, low and behold, they had it on the shelf!

If anyone knows the part number for the inserts, speak up!

You can use literally any insert you want. Lots of silicone ones on Amazon. I swapped the inserts in one set with silicone ones as well as bought a spare set of blades from Honda for the civic (saved nearly 20$ for the same thing).

Technically our blades are not designed to easily replace the inserts, so you could do it a few times, but by the 4th or 5th time the plastic will be worn down for sure. There's also a small cutout in one section of each blade for where it locks it into place so with any insert you'd have to trim that a touch.

For ease, I'd just replace the whole blade. The factory ones aren't terrible. The cost difference for 1 to 2 times per year is also not that big. Sucks to generate so much garbage though...

Can't agree more on the last part. At the risk of taking over the thread, this is where we failed as society, generating unnecessary garbage b/c it makes someone an extra 2 cents or an engineer is too lazy or not given time to put thought into a design.

From this thread on CivicXI: https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/wipers-or-wiper-inserts.60363

Driver side ($31): https://www.blackhawkjapan.com/products/honda-08t24-t60-000
Passenger side ($13): https://www.blackhawkjapan.com/products/honda-08t24-t43-000a

Someone has ordered these parts from Blackhawk Japan. They are the RHD part number but they seem to fit the LHD wiper (which is the same between the FL5 and DE5). For whatever reason, the refills are only available in Japan.

At these prices though, and with international shipping and import duties on top of that, it makes more economical sense to just order the full wiper blade assembly locally. I also hate how wasteful this is, but at least the old wiper can kept around to use as a squeegee.

For reference the Honda part numbers are 76620-T60-A01 and 76630-T20-A01.

They cost me 80.90$ post tax together from a Honda dealer.

I'm sure you could hunt them down cheaper elsewhere. Hopefully Bosch eventually makes an aero twin package that fits.
