I had read that wax on ceramic is not needed and that I can affect the water beading quality of ceramic. I'd be interested to hear your experience with that.
Sounds like your can't go wrong if you go with quality products and do the prep. With internet these days it sometimes hard to figure what quality products are so it's great to have you guys share actual experiences.
*update I ended up going with the dyi. I initially went to order the ammo but...
@optronix
How long does the protection last from your experience. I'm personally a lazy guy and would definately pay more to do less and going by optronics experience, 1 to 2 year protection sounds like a dream product to me lol.
400 miles wow!, I don't get much over 400 km let alone miles... I've overfill in other vehicles, just go for a long drive burn it off and it'll be fine. There's nothing in there to be damaged if it's only a short while I don't think.
Hope this turns out well at the end for you man. It sucks to put your trust and money down and have it turn out not the way you expect or wanted to. Wish you the best.
All you can do is it turns sour is drag the shops name through the mud on any forum you can get your hands on lol.
I got a front end ppf at a local shop that's a xpel authorized installer. It's a pre cut wrap I was told and 10 months in now with no edge issues. When I first picked up, thing looked spotless and i cant tell there was ppf there. I can feel the edges like around the bumper integra logo but no...
I believe you're referring to burrard acura. I phoned them to ask and their sales manager told me straight up they're not selling with anything less than 10k accessories and that their internet pricing was just a base reference and they don't have to honor it. So I said OK what stops you from...
Ah, yea, anything under 4k is hard to get pops. You might grt some if you hold the revs up for like 3-5 seconds min and drop throttle but it won't be anything loud or big in my experience in my car.
Cooling in this car during normal driving is pretty good, I don't track the car and haven't...
I have a my25 and I noticed that unless the car is warmed up, burbbles don't happen. And after a warm up, only certain throttle conditions puts out pops and bangs. Learning to do it makes it funner IMO. Now I can do it on upshift and downshift under certain conditions.
I don't track my car or anything like that and i wanted to preserve the stock suspension geometry as best i can so i ordered a set of 18x9.5 ET 60 from Allibaba (i know i know :D). For tires i got a set of pirelli Pzero AS plus 3. For just city driving, they're definitely a lot quieter than the...
Ain't that the truth and honestly not condition dependent either. Anything you can do from equipment, settings to skill to improve the latter is what matters the most in driving IMHO.
Can't agree more on the last part. At the risk of taking over the thread, this is where we failed as society, generating unnecessary garbage b/c it makes someone an extra 2 cents or an engineer is too lazy or not given time to put thought into a design.
@ScottE I selfishly want you to decide on a ITS and I honestly hope you'll get to love whatever color you end up with. I have an APB but when i see other colored (not shades) ITS on the forum, i always go, wow, that doesn't look bad at all. It's probably easier to get your choice of color in the...
