Hello,

Can anyone confirm if a 255/35/19 tire will fit the OEM 19" ITS wheels? It will be replacing the OEM 265/30/19 due to winter driving conditions. It's approximately .8" taller.

Thanks

Can confirm, they fit. I am currently running that size (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4), and plan to use them until I finish the break in and then as my winter setup. (We don't get a lot of snow.). No issues with rubbing. The tires barely cover the rim and (obviously) they sit 5mm further back in the wheel well, but they fit.

Speedo is a little off - at 70mph it reads one mph low, where the stock tires read one mph high.

The below give some idea of how it fits. It's about as narrow as you go with the stock wheel, but there's plenty of clearance in the wheel wells for them.

Fantastic reply. Thank you.
Based on the actual height of the 255/35/19 would a 265/35/19 fit ?

I haven't tried that, but it looks to me like there is plenty of space, assuming the car is not lowered.

I've ordered a set 285/30/19 tire for the stock rim. I'm going to sell the stock tires 265/30/19. Whoever is interested in buying them, I'm located in NY. I rather prefer a local pick-up. Contact me if interested. The car has 307 miles as of this moment. The tires I ordered will be coming in 9/12.

Please send some pics when you have the new tires. I am lowering the car with H&R springs this Wednesday and then planning to buy 275/30 19 tires. But would love to see how the 285/30 19 will look on the ITS.

Wow. I'm going 275/30/19 thinking that would be about it for a 9.5" wheel.

Wow..you guys are all going wider for winter tires.

I was thinking of going 235/35R19 because they are fairly affordable.

I know that is just barely going to cover a 19x9.5" wheel.

Do you think it is a mistake to go that narrow?

So I am planning to replace stock tires with another summer set but want to go wider. Maybe 275/30. But curious to see how the 285/30 will look like. I live in GA so no need to winter set but plan to tune it next year so want better tire grips.
