Some mods for my DE5 and FK8 recently.

I just took my DE5 in for my first service last weekend at Open Road Richmond Acura and my sales person said they only received 7 DE5’s last year and only expect 6 this year. He said they were suppose to receive 10 for last year but only 7 arrived. ETA is summer for next batch of DE5 MY25.

I have a set of CE28 CR2’s in this exact spec 18x10 +40 and no modifications needed on stock height running 265/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires. I posted these pics in the wheel thread but will repost here. Perfect fitment and flush with the fenders.

The screws go into plastic and the rear has a clip on each side that most people don’t use. Have had my flaps on for a 3 months without the rear clips installed and have had no issues with them loosening up.

Got about 16” of snow Thursday, so this is after brushing off the snow today. Still 8” of snow in my backyard. Definitely couldn’t have driven in the deep and slushy conditions the last few days with the hills and uncleared roads. My lowered FK8 under the cover isn’t going anywhere anytime...

Buried in snow. Took the canopy tarp off as it would have collapsed with this much snow.

I traded in a Rivian R1T. No regrets as my wife hated driving the R1T and gave me an opportunity to grab a fun car in trade in and to get some $$$ back. I still have my 2010 Tundra for hauling stuff though.

Just installed mine tonight and some of those clips are stiff as heck and was worried to break them. Looks great and no more fingerprints.

I thought I’d have to use the Raceseng retainer but I just swapped in the Raceseng knob and to my surprise when I pulled up the boot it clicked into place. I thought I’d need to take off the trim and use the accessory clips to hold up the boot but did not.

Getting cold in my neck of the woods so swapped out the S2K Ti shift knob for a Raceseng weighted knob. Feels good and doesn’t freeze my hand.

A 18x9.5 et+45 will be tucked into the fender. I just swapped out to my set of 57DR Gramlights in 18x9.5 et+38 with 255/35/18 Michelin Cross Climate 2’s tonight. They are dead on flush with the top fender as seen in my photos. If you want more sidewall, you are safe to even go to a 255/40/18...

Depends on the offset to get to flush. My 18x10 et+40 have a bit of poke and is pretty aggressive, but I’m running 265 width tires so it is slightly stretched. If I went with 275 or 285 it would definitely poke out further without negative camber adjustments. 18x9.5 et+45 is flush and +38...
