Doesn't the FK8 spare tire kit fit the FL5/DE5?

I remember seeing someone on here do this...

EDIT: Probably on the CTR forum...

IIRC, it worked ok, but wasn't a perfect fit under the rear floor.

FYI, I tried the OEM lug nuts with the spare T17x4 (42700-TK4-A51), and they worked great. I tightened them down and then removed them to inspect the fit. The studs did not bottom out or contact the back of the lug nuts.

The seat profile is also important. If I remember correctly, the OE wheel and nuts are a ball seat. I think the most common fitting for spare wheels is a conical seat, but I'm not familiar with this one.

Before I tested it, I checked the seat type with my three favorite AIs, and all three identified it as a ball seat (also known as a radius or spherical seat). Visually, it also looked and felt like a ball seat. The wheel’s ball seat has a very small profile, though, so it was hard to tell. I just wanted to make sure first.
