This seems like a lot more work to customize your headliner and then fabricate a way to mount into your car, let alone figure out the adaption of the wire harness.

True, but figured it was still worth an ask on the off-chance someone had actually found a simple, elegant solution.

I still find it rather absurd AHM went so damn cheap (leaving it out) on a $40k Intrega...my 20 year old TSX has Homelink!

Disassembly and re-assembly of 08V03-3A0-100 is easier than soldering in my opinion. If you lived near by I would offer to help you, once you have done it once doing it again can be done in less than an hour.

Big thing is re-assembly, you do not exactly reverse the steps, you first put the ring on the collar then push it back together, otherwise its simple.

Just having trouble visualizing it all. I haven't seen a video of it (and don't have Facebook) to help. Maybe once I get things apart it will become clear. Worst case I'm pretty decent at soldering!

Nice! That kit is the way to go if you want that 100% factory setup, this will allow the garage door opener to work all the time, not just when the car is running. I believe this approach you remove the interior, remove the factory wire harness going to the mirror, then install this new Accord wire harness, reinstall interior, then install the Accord mirror.

I was pricing this out to build another mirror that uses the Integra factory wire harness, to buy a new mirror, plus the wiring is about $300. I was thinking about making one more and recording it, then selling it to someone who doesn't want to go through the effort. Thinking about it.

I got a 2024 Integra dimming mirror and a 2023 Accord dimming + homelink mirror this week from fleaBay. When I get time I will make a video taking them apart, putting them together, and briefly explain the 3 wiring scenarios. It may be a few weeks until I get time to do it, I am a bit slammed.

Sorry to slightly necro this thread, but I did this mod on my 26. I used an Accord mirror and got everything done but I noticed if I twist the mirror a bit too hard (clockwise), it'll actually fall off. I was under the impression there's a stopper somewhere that only lets you spin it one way, but it seems like it'll slip off in either direction.

I've noticed the mirror will be able to rock slightly on the mount after a few hundred miles of driving, as well.

I'm not sure if I've actually broken anything but the entire thing is thick metal so I'd be surprised if I did.

Did I just not install it correctly or did I not twist it in the right direct, or maybe I didn't actually twist it enough and it's not on right? Any pointers would be helpful.

Edit: if anyone is reading this having the same issue, I think the issue is the pieces that stick out of the mirror stem that grab and hold onto the base on the windshield were a bit bent. It falling off a couple times trying to get it on the first few times probably did that. I noticed one was bent a bit "away" from the center, if that makes sense. I bent them all a good bit back in towards the center of the stem. It was incredibly difficult to get it on the next time, but I broke out some pliers to twist it on and it eventually just fell into place. It felt super solid after that, so I think the pins on the stem was the issue.

The only thing I did differently was instead of jumpering the red and yellow wires, I wired the yellow (homelink power) to constant 12v. That way the homelink buttons work even when the car is off.
Conveniently, the red wire in the map light connector is constant.

Just finished the Accord to Integra myself this weekend. I did the solder red / yellow option. Only problem I had is both mirrors broke the mount tabs on the ends of the mirrors. I was able to carefully bend back the broke pieces in hopes they would catch one last time and they both seemed to snap back Ok.... By the way has anyone tried to sell the other mirror that will now have an Accord stalk, Harness and Auto Dimming? Will it work as a plug and play without modifications? Did you advertise as an Accord mirror? Any info would be appreciated.

You’re likely better off trying to sell off just the mirror glass in case someone has broken/scratched theirs. These left over hybrid mirror units are likely worthless.

just did the accord swap on my type S this weekend. Was pretty straightforward thanks to all the information on the forums/youtube
