Great thread! I’m just getting back into mine after it spent a hundred days in winter storage. Went out for a 50-mile cruise yesterday, and while the Wunderladen Street RMM is still in break-in, there’s light vibration at idle. Doesn’t bother my spouse, that’s always a good thing :)

I’m going to switch to COBB in April so I can compare how it feels. I’ve already done the PRL to Wunderladen switch in my FK8, which improved shift feel greatly, and I felt a minor improvement in NVH.

I’ve had 27WON and Hasport in the FK8. Good performance but both exhibited more NVH than the 3 being addressed in this thread.
I wanted to give back, basically I wish I had this thread before I bought mine but I still feel like I found enough info to make the best decision for me, just had to go digging for it.

What would you say about the 27WON and Hasport? I'll add them to the table.

If i put "significant" in the 3 NVH columns for both would that be fair? also is their performance equal to or greater than the others. Some might want a rougher around the edge RMM for ultimate performance and almost 0 wheel hop.

Any benefit for CVT or is it not worth it?
Yes less wheel hop and it makes it feel like you're sitting over the front axel more

But generally feel like its tough to compare RMMs. How many people test out more than 1? And with break in... Just tough to compare.

Still haven't seen a Wunderladen versus COBB comparison. I think I would have still gone Wunderladen anyway, don't think there's much of a difference between the two, however if I had to summarize based off of people's descriptions, the WL is probably a hair more performance oriented where COBB seems to be the king of minimal NVH.

Honestly I doubt there's a perceivable difference given the bushing design is similar. I bought Cobb because there was a wait on the Wunderladen at the time, and I know the Cobb name from prior positive experience.

It is, and people's feedback is not exactly scientific however if 2 or 3 people say the "X" rmm is very noisy and vibrates a lot, and then you have another 2-3 people say RMM "Y" is super quiet, you can safely conclude one is better than the other for NVH.

Although a few here have tried multiple mounts, they're the real MVPs when it comes to getting a subjective buyer's guide.

Might be too out of the box, but could crowd source to get 1 of each then they float around from person to person for controlled tests. After the first person, there shouldn't be much of a break in period.

Off topic, but have been discussing a custom DP blanket with PTP. Was thinking about something like crowd sourcing to get a tsp or rv6 dp sent to PTP so they can make the blanket and put it on their site.

Perhaps do it as a sort of raffle where once PTP is done with it, the dp gets sent to the raffle winner. Hmmm...

I wish this thread was out when I bought mine three weeks ago. 😂 Installed the PRL one last night and after seeing this thread, I kind of wish I bought the Cobb one instead. Oh well, I'll enjoy the PRL one until I can't anymore and get the Cobb later. Shifting is so much better but boy howdy I thought I broke my car when I first turned it on after installing the mount. Lots of vibrations. 🤣

so i got my PRL mount in today, and the bushing on one side of both ends looks kinda terrible, like rubbed through to the metal.

is this normal? it almost looks like it's been installed before except the opposite side of each is basically perfect.
