Did you change out the side mirrors? I went with Suma mirrors and like them a lot.

Hey, this might be the wrong thread for that, but to answer your question, no, our A-Spec has its factory side mirrors. The only motivation I would ever have to swap out the side mirrors is if it got me mirrors that are in sync with the memory seats.... That was a HUGE shock when I got back into the car for the first time after my wife drove it.... Hit the memory button, seat moved into place, and the mirrors.... Did nothing ... Lol

I know this is a bone of contention with a lot of forum members, can't say I've seen any clever solutions yet.

Anyway, that's for another thread! We'll keep this thread focused on HomeLink, right?

Lol, right?! I don't buy their excuse that it's b/c it's a sports car...umm...does that mean a VW Taos is a sports car too since it also lacks memory features and has a manually adjustable front passenger's side seat?

No kidding, right! When we were at the Acura dealership last Saturday closing the deal on our Integra, there wes an Integra Type S AND an MDX Type S on the showroom floor ... I was SHOCKED that the Integra seats were no memory and manual, and sitting in the MDX Type S with its 14-way power front memory seat, steering wheel, and mirrors AND passenger memory seat.... I couldn't believe the contrast!

yeah its because the CTR doesn't have those things and the ITS retains the wiring harnesses and whatnot from it, and honda was too pathetic and lazy to change it for the type s. it's genuinely insane that a $50k+ car in the 2020s comes without those features but it is what it is. we've all already beat the dead horse about it lol

Funny, in my RS3 not having Homelink bugged me a lot! In the ITS it didn't really faze me.

im bout to pull the trigger on this as well; this is the right mirror -> https://honda.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/honda-auto-d-n-mirror-w-homelink-ex-l-tour-8v033a0100

there is also the attachment for it -> https://honda.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/honda-mirror-automatic-dimming-attachment-8v0330a100

what is that for?

they're on sale right now; the mirror is $80 bucks off ($170) and the attachment is $43
08V03-3A0-100 (your first link) is the correct mirror to get if you want a frameless one. Commonly referred to as the "Accord mirror".

08V03-30A-100 (your second link) is a harness that you can use to run power to the Accord mirror through your A pillar.

Using that harness, IMO, is not the best way to do this. The best way to do it is to disassemble both your OEM mirror and the Accord mirror, do a minor mod on the Integra's short harness that runs in the stem, and reassemble using the Integra stem + modded harness and Accord mirror+clamshell.

I can PM you instructions on how to do this if you like. I really need to post them in a thread I can refer people to, but I haven't made time for it lately.

I would argue the best way is to use the harness vs. modifying the harness. Not only does it properly ground the mirror and ensure all power connections and thresholds are correct, it adds a separate fuse for additional protection to the car should something go wrong with the mirror.

Okay let's diagnose this point by point:
  • "properly ground the mirror" - the mirror is already properly grounded. If it weren't, it wouldn't power on. This isn't household wiring - cars don't have separate return paths.
  • "ensure all power connections and thresholds are correct" - the yellow wire that powers the Homelink daughterboard is already present in the harness on your Integra mirror. The car-side of the wiring harness just isn't populated on that pin. Modifying the mirror's harness powers it from the same circuit that powers the auto-dimming aspect of the mirror. They share a ground, so nothing changes there.
  • "adds a separate fuse for additional protection to the car should something go wrong with the mirror" - the mirror power is already protected by a fuse. If you don't believe me, short it out. Then replace the fuse.
Honestly, wtf

it said there was one left in stock so i went ahead and ordered it. im not gonna bother with the harness and removing the a-pillar as i was just gonna cut the yellow and red wires and put them in a butt splice connector then wrap the bundle back up.

im a bit nervous about taking the mirror trim apart as i hate messing with flimsy plastic. also apparently the ball is hard to get back into place properly. there are a bunch of videos and posts about it so i feel like i should be good to go.
