Hey all,

Funny story… decided to stop by my parents house and… well, the integra was introduced to the back of my brother’s jeep.

Have any of you had your front bumper replaced yet? The top of the bumper has split from the bottom and the driver side light looks to be a bit recessed…

Aw crap! Sorry about that so soon & that I don’t have any solutions to your questions!

But I’m going to hop in & ask if you live anywhere near MI or could somehow save your old grill or any surrounding items to send to Matt at Custom Car Grills in Grand Rapids, MI so that he can hook us all up with aftermarket grill options.

What is that sensor looking thing in the right corner? Are there more of them?

No! Just no. That sucks.

Sorry you are in this situation.

Are you thinking of having this done by a shop or doing it yourself?

Going to call the dealership on Monday and ask them if they’d do it or if they have a shop they could recommend… I’m hoping the car is so new that the paint will still match once resprayed.

Getting my insurance involved at the moment along with my brother’s.

Not the right situation to try to plug your motives, bro.

Let the dust settle before trying to get a grill for your replacement study.

Not trying to be a dick...but...seriously.

How did the fateful encounter happen?

I've yet to do any modding or taking apart of the integra but have a history of doing such things. I'd assume there are a lot of plastic clips involved in the sub structure that may also be compromised. Especially with that headlight you showed.

How's the fender? Is it pushed out at all? Plastic damage is replaceable, metal damage is another animal.

1st sentence of mine puts a bit more context to it. My motives are for others before me - I don’t even own one of these gen Integra’s yet, so you’re assumptions of my selfishness are a little stretched.

Dust settles differently for everyone. It’s a minor fender bender. B2B warranty &/or deductible will easily fix this. Calm down.

No problem at all! The fact that there’s only one (I’m assuming) making it asymmetrical is a little strange.

There is one on the other side too. My thought was there are two in the front bumper and two in the grill as well as 4 on rear bumper; 4 on each to fully cover front and rear sensor-wise

Thanks for the info! I’ll start calling/scouring junkyards in the meantime. LKQ Pick Your Part at least has an awesome website with photos & part numbers & fortunately I travel around the Midwest every other week & am nearby several of their locations. I’ll keep everyone posted.

Good luck @lnf ! Wish there was an aftermarket option for you. LKQ might have stock parts in the meantime.

Hey bpebler, honestly, if that place would be willing to cover my brother's insurance premium, I would send it out.

Otherwise, the grill and all of the parts are staying with me.

Yes those are just parking sensors in the grill. All of the ACC and LKAS stuff is up in front of the rearview mirror... thank god. ACC and LKAS is working like a charm still.

Drove over to my parents house in the morning to drive to a Plano outlet store with my father and brother. After getting home, I decided to fall asleep on the recliner... My brother forgot my car was parked at the end of the driveway and drove into it at 10 mph.

I am going to take the car back to Acura of Brookfield and get it assessed this week. The biggest damage I see is the bumper physically split around the grill and it looks to me like the driver's side light is pushed inwards towards the fender. There isn't any damage to the radiator support, hood or fenders.

I just got the car back a week ago from getting my rear parking sensors replaced... lol

No problem at all, man. I’ll ask if he’s interested in doing something like that. Worst he can say is no.

In the meantime, would it be helpful if I happen to come across any of those parts that are in good shape at the junkyard or will insurance just replace all with new parts? I’m not sure which region you’re in but noticed cold weather evidence in your photo. There might be an LKQ somewhat nearby. If you’re not familiar with them, their website is extremely helpful. The ones I travel to or through consistently are in MO/KS/OK but I’ll be going through IL/WI a few times within the next couple months.
