I have a rattle in my dashboard. Thought it was the pleather piece on the passenger side bc when I push on it toward the door it seems to stop. Then today I tapped on the plastic below, to the left of my foot in the passenger footwell and it seems to have stopped for now. Anyone have any idea what this might mean?

Does it do it around 4K rpm? I had a heater box rattle in a 2023 integra. I found it by revving it to 4K and having someone shake the heater core lines. When they shook the lines the noise went away. Something to check out since you said it went away when you were kicking around down there

It does it at all times, seems reactionary to bumps or a sharp turn will activate it

Hi,

My ITS has rattle when I am close to 4K RPM. Can you elaborate more on how it was fixed? I will bring my car to Acura service soon and would like to give them a direction to try.

Found my dash rattle cause was the passenger A pillar rubbing against dash, just wedge some foam seal, or cloth, paper whatever, should stop it.. I used black sunglasses bag. Just pushed in with key so can't see it from driver seat.

never came back to the forums after positing before, but I also found this to be the issue with my car. Got some foam and wedged it in

glove box also rattled like crazy so I took some foam to that too.

Doing the mirror mod I found something concerning. It seems that someone went back into the front doors to do something. I found the factory moisture barrier to be damaged and partially removed. Also passenger side the harness for the mirror wasn't secured in place. Another source for a potential rattle.

Was this a higher pitched buzz you were getting? Mine seems to be coming from the passenger a pillar as well. Had one in the center console under the shifter but while on the highway the other day, a swift open handed pound on the passenger side of the center console seemed to have cured it ? can you post a quick pic of where you had placed the foam wedge? Or a screenshot of a stock a pillar with the area circled? It wouldn’t surprise me if it was a design/mass-assembly thing and that’s why so many folks have similar rattling in similar places

at first i couldn't tell that it was the A-pillar, but i got the windshield replaced and the rattle got louder after that, so that's how I found out that it's the A-pillar. Told the dealer the A-pillar is loose and it's rattling, they said they couldn't find anything. So this is my solve for now until I go back and have them look again. Still experimenting with positioning but for now I have a foam piece shoved into the crevice between the pillar and the dash by the vent, as well as a piece further up in the crevice closer to the windshield.

Right in thanks for the reply! I’m going to try the same when I get home with some felt scraps I have. I wonder if mine is about the same area causing the sound

I was driving today and heard a creaking/ticking noise coming somewhere from the upper long air vent for the windshield. Anyone noticed anything similar on their vehicle? I am also checking the possibility of the infotainment making a creaking noise however I don't remember the noise stopping when I was pressing corners of the screen. The noise lasted for couple of traffic lights or so.

I hear same noise from time to time. I think it's coming from the infotainment system - maybe from corners or from bottom mounting. Of course it's random enough for Acura service not being able to reproduce it. Acura service told me that despite not being able to reproduce it, it's recorded in the system. If more people experience it and bring their cars to dealers, I hope Acura will find the source+fix eventually.

I will check it again when I hear it and see if it is the screen or the windshield air vent. Today after I have arrived at the destination, I touched the edge of the vent slightly and it made a creak/click noise once and that was all.

Wedge something between A pillar and the dash, in the gap, rattle should stop. At least worked for me.

There is a TSB for a rattle from the infotainment area for the 2022 Civic with the same 9" screen that we have. That might be your issue if you have that screen.

I've spent a lot of time chasing rattles in my Integra so far. This Integra began life with far fewer rattles than my '18 WRX did, and I managed to get that car silent in the end, so I'm determined to get this one quieted down as well. Remember, while it is an Acura, it is also still a glorified Civic!

I've already fixed one rattle that I had inside my steering column, and several behind both driver's knee trim panels, a well as horrible rattles from both the driver and passenger side front seat belt adjusters.

The steering column rattle started acting up again today, it looks like I'm going to have to open it back up...thank goodness that's easy!!
What was it that needs to be fixed? I hear it on my 23 6sp.

Also there's one in the back of the car like a clanging noise all the time
